Don't forget the Irish fest this weekend in Camden SC! And then mark this down on your to do list.

In just two short weeks, Georgia’s “Irish Balloon Fest” kicks off over St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Dublin, GA…where you can see colorful hot air balloons lift off and glow against the evening sky at the Dublin Civitan Fairgrounds. The 25th annual version of this festival takes place Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 of 2026. Balloons begin flying Friday afternoon, with the first Balloon Glow lighting up around 7:30 PM. The fun continues Saturday with more daytime flights and another evening glow.

Live music fills the stage both nights, including Gunshy, a high-energy Georgia country and southern rock band known for lively covers from Otis Redding to Guns N’ Roses, along with their own original songs. Named Georgia Southern University’s party band of the year five years in a row, they keep the crowd fired up. You’ll also find carnival rides for kids, food from onsite concession booths, and plenty of room to roam across the 15-acre fairgrounds. Admission is free. Tethered rides are $20 cash, and full balloon rides are $300 cash, first come, first served, weather permitting!

Date night you won't forget! Take a dinner train through beautiful valleys in Georgia!

In Georgia, you can ride a dinner train through some of the prettiest small towns, farm fields, and pine woods in the southern part of the state. The Azalea Sprinter Dinner Train gives you a slow, easy night on the rails along the historic Georgia & Florida Railroad. As the train rolls through quiet South Georgia, you pass tall pine trees, wide open fields, and tiny towns while enjoying table service from a friendly crew.

You can choose the Club Car with live music, the quieter Executive Class with a longer meal, or reserve the private PV Caboose for your own small group. Trips run on select dates during the year, last about two and a half hours, and leave from downtown Nashville or Willacoochee. Tickets must be bought ahead of time, all ages are welcome, there is a cash bar on board, and food needs can be shared when you book.
