🤩 Come Sail to Japan With Us in May 2026!
We are officially inviting you to join us on an unforgettable cruise to Japan in May 2026. If you’ve ever wanted to explore Japan and enjoy a floating vacation at the same time, this is your sign. DM me or Kat AZ if you want in on the adventure.
Before we get into the ports, let me give you a taste of what life on the Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas is like — because this ship is basically a small city of fun.
🎭 Entertainment That Never Misses
The singers and dancers onboard come from all over the world, and they put on full‑scale productions in the Royal Theater (it seats 1,300 people across three decks!). We’ve seen Broadway‑style shows like CATS (not my favorite), Saturday Night Fever, Mamma Mia!, and The Wizard of Oz. Even though I’m not a huge musical fan, the talent is always top‑notch.
🎼🎤If tribute bands are more your thing, you’re in luck — we’ve seen incredible acts covering U2, Adele, Journey, The Beatles, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin, and even Sammy Davis Jr. Plus, the comedians are usually veterans of Comedy Central, Dry Bar Comedy, and Last Comic Standing. We even caught Jeff Dunham once, which was awesome.
🎹 Prefer something more low‑key? There’s a piano bar, a guitarist in the pub for sing‑alongs, and live bands all over the ship. Karaoke is a must‑stop for our group — whether you’re singing, “singing,” or just watching the show. And yes, there are free dance classes if you want to brush up on your two‑step, waltz or line dancing
🍱Let’s Talk Food (Because…It's a Cruise)
Every night in the Main Dining Room, you get a different cuisine — French, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Caribbean, Mediterranean — plus classics like steak, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian options. Appetizers, soups, salads, desserts… it’s all there.
If you want something more casual, here are the greatest hits:
🍔🥗 🍳Windjammer Marketplace
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Think global buffet with everything from Indian curry to Jamaican jerk chicken to Cindy’s favorite, Cheese Burger or Italian. My go‑to is the soup and salad bar, but the omelets in the morning are fantastic too.
🥙Solarium Bistro
Fresh Mediterranean flavors with ocean views. Light, bright, breezy — one of our favorites.
🍕Sorrento’s Pizza
Open until 2 AM. We usually close this place down. Whether you want classic cheese, pepperoni with a kick, the meat‑loaded Carnivore, BBQ chicken, or the Caribbean Dream (pineapple, bacon, BBQ), you can’t go wrong.
🌭The Dog House
Coney Island dog, Chicago dog, bratwurst — simple, delicious, and always a hit.
☕️Café Promenade
Open 24/7. Coffee, cinnamon buns, wraps, cookies, mud-cakes, … basically danger for anyone with a sweet tooth.
🥪The Café @ 270
Our secret spot. Hot‑pressed sandwiches, custom salads, soups, cookies — and somehow it’s never crowded.
All of these are included at no extra charge. Water, iced tea, hot tea, and coffee are free too. Starbucks and soda machines cost extra.
🍸For the Drink Lovers
There are nine bars onboard, but two of my favorites are:
🍷 The Vintage Wine Bar — I recommend the Dürnberg riesling from Austria or the sauvignon blanc from New Zealand.
🍺 The English Pub — My choice here is Guinness for beer, and my cocktail is… the James Bond martini. Shaken, not stirred.
🇯🇵 The Ports: Japan Awaits!
Port 1: Yokohama (Gateway to Tokyo)
Tokyo is a wild mix of ancient shrines and futuristic skyscrapers. Walk the Rainbow Bridge, explore the Imperial Palace gardens, visit Sensoji Temple, or relax in Yoyogi Park.
Port 2: Hakodate
Opened to the world in 1859. Explore the star‑shaped Goryokaku fortress or the historic Red Brick Warehouses turned into shops and restaurants.
Port 3: Aomori
Check out the Nebuta Museum, watch haneto dancers, or explore the natural beauty around the city.
Port 4: Sapporo (via Muroran)
Just under two hours by train. Cherry blossoms, mountain views, and the charm of a city surrounded by nature.
🛳️ Nine Days at Sea + Vancouver Finale
After Japan, we’ll enjoy nine relaxing days at sea before arriving in Vancouver, Canada — a city packed with culture, mountains, beaches, and adventure. Whether you want museums, aquariums, suspension bridges, paddle boarding, or mountain trams, Vancouver has it all.
