The quietness and the smell of aged books...... it felt like I stepped back in time in a good way.

This library was so beautiful and my pictures does it no justice. The architecture alone had me in awe. The tall balconies, the vintage details, the endless rows of books.
I like that it still somewhat functions like it did back in the day. The old catalog system is still in there, which made the little bookworm in me happy.

By the way this library is connected to a medical campus, so I saw medical students studying. Cool watching future Dr.’s studying.

And of course… the smell. If you know, you know. Old libraries have this scent that I appreciate...... old paper and old books.....it’s oddly calming/satisfying.

ohh and they had a small museum attached too. I noticed some of the exhibits centered around women and women’s rights.

Most importantly all was FREE to visit!

Another One! 227 Stairs up and then back down!

The climb up wasn’t bad......I've learned as long as you pace yourself, you'll be ok. It is not a race.

This kind of climb, you don’t feel it immediately......but Girl, my legs was completely limp by the time I made it back down. Couldn’t feel them 🤣

The view was not a fully open view either. You had to look through windows some with bars, which makes sense though as a protective measure for safety.

These climbs makes me feel accomplished and like I can do anything. And the memories stay with me in good way.

And then they are indoors and are historical landmarks….

I might actually make this a tradition for real.

And P.S. I know I’m late to it….but I’m into the quarter zip now too.

Summer energy is activated!

This month, I’m looking forward to celebrating Juneteenth. Remember we may not get this holiday soon so……

June is also Caribbean American Heritage Month. You already know, Caribbean is part of who I am…..there’s that.

And Father’s Day, let’s show love to the men who show up with love and support for the kids.

School’s out for summer!

And finally, happy birthday to everyone celebrating this month! Enjoy and be safe outside this month.

Netflix and Chill

If you’re looking for a good action thriller to binge, I highly recommend Nemesis on Netflix.
I was expecting a basic crime drama nothing special……I’ll try not to spoil it if you haven’t seen it yet.

But the “bad guys” were so smart and strategic to the point I found myself rooting for them🤷🏾‍♀️

I liked this one being action-packed and the police work kept things interesting too. The families ….was messy, dysfunctional, emotional made it very entertaining.

I snacked on hot dogs and popcorn. Don’t judge my hot dogs….. I just threw them together to get back to the show.

Museum Visit!

I like a good museum, especially when it’s immersive. Visiting TeamLab Japan is a must do experience.

The combination of art, technology, lights, and movement makes it a real life experience. If you’re not into traditional museums, you’ll like this style.
Instead of just looking at exhibits, you become part of them. Every room was interactive.
