For the Record….

I am officially over the gas prices and everything else that’s gone up for no legitimate reason.

Lately I stick with Wawa and Chevron for gas. However, I’ll also stop at RaceTrac, Mobil or Exxon if they are more convenient. But those other random gas stations? Hard pass.

I learned my lesson a long time ago after experiencing getting bad gas.

Anywho, I’ve found a little something that makes the experience better…..You already know, I love me a nice cold drink and Wawa delivery’s that.
They have been keeping me cool all summer, and even now, stopping for a drink has become my little treat when I have to get gas.
What’s the best part?
From 2–6 PM every day, fountain drinks are just $1 any size. And yes, of course I’m getting the biggest cup
By the way, this deal is good through December.

My current favorite fountain drink right now:

AHA Sparkling water + Pineapple Fresca flavor.

Its annoying every time I have to fill up my tank, but at least between 2 and 6 PM, I can walk inside and walk back out with a giant $1 drink that makes the whole thing feel a little less painful. I’ll take my little wins where I can.

What I Been Sipping on Lately

I personally don’t like fountain drinks, however I noticed the Coke machine had Sparkling Water so that’s what I get and top it off with the Pineapple Fresca.

Basically 75% Lemon-Lime water and 25% Fresca.

Good morning!

I think my summer tan has officially entered the chat because today it’s giving a little washed… a little ashy… or not my shade.

But listen… I was already committed and was not about to take this makeup off and start all over.

Im gonna keep moving and hope the people don’t look to hard 🤷🏾‍♀️

Another Day, Another Matcha

Disclaimer: This is a fair review based on my personal experience after patronizing Pura Vida multiple times.

First the aesthetics, Pura Vida definitely gets that part right. The atmosphere and presentation is cute, clean and bright, definitely giving Miami Beach vibes and price tags. The food is presented beautifully, even the to go packaging.

Now, I’m a drink kind of girl, so naturally the drinks are a big part of my experience.

And unfortunately… the drinks fall flat for me every single time.

I’ve even asked for my drinks to be sweetened, and somehow they still don’t seem to have much sweetness or a noticeable sweet taste at all.

And as a matcha girl, I also find the matcha menu is pretty limited when it comes to flavor options.
The last mango matcha one was so cute and I did taste the mango however still was lacking taste 🤷🏾‍♀️

And one more thing……no cold foam

Hope this helps someone that was thinking of trying drinks at Pura Vida.

Pura Vida has a cute concept, beautiful presentation, but not me girl…not wasting another $8+ over there

Lunch at Dumpling King

I’m always looking for a good lunch special and this was a good one.

They have lunch specials with your choice of pork or vegetable, also the lunch specials do not include soup dumplings. Now that disappointed me….

I really appreciated that the lunch special came with a generous amount of scallion pancakes.

Because I love me a chicken wing, I also ordered wings on the side.
They have fruit teas and milk-based teas for a fraction of what you typically pay at those standalone boba shops which is about $8–$10 range at some places. To me it tastes the same.

Overall, this is a really good lunch option if you’re hungry because the portions are generous enough that you could easily have enough left to carry you through dinner.

And if dumplings aren’t your thing, they have plenty of other Asian menu options.

The service was great, I left feeling like I actually got a good lunch for my money — which I definitely appreciate in this economy.

Welcome, October 🍂

First things first, as a child of God, I personally don’t celebrate Halloween. It’s simply a personal choice rooted in my faith. I keep my heart and mind centered on the things that align with my beliefs.

No shade, no tea if you celebrate that holiday ……just sharing what October looks like for me and others who don’t.

The parts of October I do enjoy and look forward too? All the Fall things!

Give me the apple picking, apple c***r, pumpkins, cozy flannels, sweaters, crisp fall vibes and, possibly, a warm pumpkin spice chai. Still not sure if I’m on that this year. 🤷🏾‍♀️

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Let’s remember to wear our pink, support the cause and make sure we’re staying on top of our screenings and encouraging the women around us to do the same.

Let’s show love and support to the survivors, those currently fighting, and remember those who are no longer with us.

And Polls open for early voting for the General Elections in Florida.

And to everyone celebrating a birthday this month… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

So, here’s to October, hopefully a whole lot of cozy moments ahead of us.

A Random Whole Foods Grocery Haul

Of course, I picked up some sparkling waters, I also get them from Trader Joe’s too.
And I wasn’t leaving without my favorite Berry Chantilly Cake either.
It’s basically part of the shopping list at this point.

Then I spotted a seasonal pumpkin blondie brownie…..By the way it was really good! I would definitely recommend it.

So basically, I went in to get a few things and ate lunch.

Was this really multitasking?

Either way…missions accomplished!

Multitasking at Lunchtime 🍕

I combined running errands with one of my favorite lunch specials.

I usually have my slice of cheese pizza with a flavored sparkling water, but that day I wanted juice……so I grabbed a “fresh juice.” Now…how fresh is it for real if it’s bottled in a grocery store?

Anyway…it was really good!

A good lunch and a little grocery shopping, sounds like a productive day to me.
