We got to spend some time at Auburn Skies 🦀 for the holidays. It was so nice to eat at Hole In The Wall during our stay. The fish was good. 🍤 The scene while eating is great.🦆 It is about 15 minutes away. Let us know if you try it during your stay!

Just in case you didn’t know, Auburn Skies 🦀 has a great place to stay warm while enjoying the outside! This is the perfect spot if you are looking for a cozy place for two or s’more time with the family.🍫Be sure to bring a good book with your coffee, once you settle in you will want to stay.☕️

The sunset was beautiful at Auburn Skies 🦀 this weekend. We loved seeing the clouds and the sun reflect on the water. What a view! 🌅☀️

Spring has officially arrived at Auburn Skies! We love when the daffodils bloom in the field. We can’t wait for our guests to enjoy it as much as Sampson does! 🐕‍🦺💐🦀

Auburn Skies 🦀 most consistent guest visited a lot during the rainy days this week. The heron likes to perch on the fallen branch, right of the dock. We hope you get to meet our guest during your stay! 🪶

Why did we name our place Auburn Skies?

Because of the sunsets! We love the “auburn” shades that fill the evening sky. While each sunset paints its own unique canvass, the auburn tinge remains a consistent theme. 🌅🦀 Mathews County Visitor & Information Center

Another project we completed this spring is making it easier to use our kayaks. 🛶 It is so fun to sit in the water and wait for the fish to start jumping in the afternoon. Now you can use the kayak launch to make the experience even more enjoyable! 🐟🦀

We have been working this spring to update our favorite spot at Auburn Skies 🦀. Sampson (our bay dog) approves of the update. We hope our guests love the dock as much as we do!

We highly recommend YROC Coastal Bar and Grill in Gloucester, VA. The food is great and waiting for a seat is not so bad when you’re looking at boats and pretty birds. 🛥️🪶🦀

If you hear a tree buzzing, don’t worry, it’s just the local honey bees.🐝 Wonderful neighbors near Auburn Skies 🦀 keeps these bees. The bees like to come visit a few times a year at this specific tree and, we don’t mind at all. Mathews County Visitor & Information Center
