I'm getting ready to renew my annual Allianz Travel Insurance policy.

Let me tell you just a bit about insurance policies, that I discovered this week!

One of my clients purchased two insurance policies for gate 1 travel.
The first was Travel protection for tours from $1001 to $2000 for $149.00

The second was Cancel for any Reason up to 72 hours prior up to $3000. This was $39.00

She canceled at 30 days before and received a half of her amount back from Gate 1. HOWEVER... when I questioned the insurance policies... I got 'chuckled' at and was told they would probably give her back little or nothing. What???

Travel protection:
Will cover for illness or injury of you or your traveling companions.
Will cover if there is a delay, interruption or emergency on the trip.
Will cover lost/delay of baggage.

Cancel for any reason:
NOT IN CASH... only future credit.
They remove the original deposit.
The insurance premium
Airline fees.
Amendment fees.

My client will get back approx $350 ... in credit! Out of $900!

Please make sure that you check this policy and if you are thinking of canceling a Gate 1 trip - Please change BEFORE THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE DATE. Change fee is $50! Cancel will lose your deposit.
