“The joy of life is love.”

This is a kanga. In Tanzania, a kanga is a fabric that has many uses: a skirt, head wrap, curtains, apron, pot-holder, towel, and much more. Generally worn by women, the kanga is more than a fashion statement; it’s a political statement, often presenting phrases ranging from encouraging and hopeful to commands that will help you get your life back on track!
