Few People Know This Beautiful Natural Tunnel In Tennessee Even Exists

Backbone Rock Tunnel in East Tennessee is the shortest tunnel in the world and a hidden gem perfect for a scenic drive and family outing.

Johnson County has one of Tennessee's most recognizable landmarks if you're from the area, one that hearkens back in time to old construction projects and Tennesseean ingenuity, but if you're not from the area you may hardly know this beautiful rock tunnel even exists. Backbone Rock Tunnel is one of the most interesting finds on a scenic drive through East Tennessee but also a great place to stop and stretch your legs for a bit.
