⚠️ Reminder: Starting tomorrow, Feb. 1, 2026, travelers without a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification will be required to use TSA ConfirmID if they still want to fly. The $45 process includes additional screening and may require 30 extra minutes at TSA.
Acceptable forms of ID at TSA checkpoints:
✅ REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or state photo ID
✅ State-issued Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL) or Enhanced ID (EID)
✅ U.S. passport
✅ U.S. passport card
✅ DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
✅ U.S. Department of Defense ID, including dependent IDs
✅ Permanent resident card
✅ Border crossing card
✅ Federally recognized Tribal Nation or Indian Tribe photo ID, including Enhanced Tribal Cards (ETCs)
✅ HSPD-12 PIV card
✅ Foreign government-issued passport
✅ Canadian provincial driver’s license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada card
✅ Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
✅ USCIS Employment Authorization Card (I-766)
✅ U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential
✅ Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
Temporary driver’s licenses are not accepted. Check your ID before traveling to avoid delays at the checkpoint.
