Love this job!
Cunard is a classic ocean-liner experience that harkens back to the golden age of travel. It is one of the few cruise lines that still embraces traditional elegance, with formal evenings where gentlemen often wear tuxedos and ladies don ball gowns. The atmosphere is refined, sophisticated, and intentionally reminiscent of the glamour of yesteryear.
For travelers seeking a timeless, elegant voyage with a touch of old-world sophistication, Cunard remains one of the most distinguished cruise lines at sea.
Oliver Cruz has one of the more unusual jobs at sea: He is the kennel master aboard Cunard’s 'Queen Mary 2', a 2,759-guest ocean liner that has been making transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York since 2004.
It is also the only cruise ship in the world to offer dedicated kennels at sea during its transatlantic voyages, with 24 spaces for dogs and cats traveling with their owners.
