For this week’s vacation package quote, we’re highlighting Disney’s Pop Century resort (which is one of the most popular value resorts at Disney!). For this package, we are quoting a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children between 3-9 years old). They would like to stay for 7 nights and have 5 days of park tickets in May 2024. Applying the current discounts available, their vacation package quote would come to a total of $3,973 (prices and availability subject to change). Let’s talk pros and cons of this package. Pros = Staying at a Disney value resort will provide you with a magical stay at a more reasonable price. In addition, Pop Century has access to the Disney Skyliner transportation system, which provides access to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot (as well as Disney’s Caribbean Beach and Riviera resorts). The theming at Pop Century is larger-than-life and immerses you in the timeless 1950-1990’s decor. Cons = A Disney value resort room will be smaller than the rooms at Moderate and Deluxe resorts (although it should be comfortable for a family of 4). Value resorts have the highest number of rooms available, so the amentities throughout the resort will get busy during peak times (like the pools, transportation, shops). Finally, the dining options at Pop Century are limited and there is no sit-down restaurants available within the resort. What do you think about this quote? Would you get booking, or keep looking?

The next Disney World restaurant I'd like to feature is Topolino's Terrace at the Riviera Resort. Topolino's offers two very different experiences based on the time of day you visit: character dining during breakfast & a more intimate, quiet dining experience during dinner. We've had the opportunity to experience both options at Topolino's, and we prefer the dinner experience with no characters, to be honest. That being said, the character dining experience for breakfast was a ton of fun and very well done (and we're happy we got to experience it)! Another plus, is the food during both breakfast and dinner were excellent and encourages us to go back! If you do decide to dine at Topolino's Terrace, take the time to enjoy the outdoor terrace which overlooks the Disney Skyliner, Riviera & Caribbean Beach resorts, and provides views of Epcot fireworks!

For this week’s vacation package quote, we’re highlighting one of Disney World’s good neighbor hotel options, the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace. This good neighbor hotel is not owned and operated by Disney, but is steps away from Disney Springs (which opens up so many shopping and restaurant options for guests staying here). For this package, we are quoting a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children between 3-9 years old). They would like to stay for 7 nights and have 5 days of park tickets in May 2024. Applying the current discounts available, their vacation package quote would come to a total of $4,764 (prices and availability subject to change). Let’s talk pros and cons about this package. Pros = Staying at a good neighbor hotel (which are not run by Disney) offers guests additional opportunities for finding a hotel that offers a great value. While these resorts may not have Disney theming and all the perks of staying on-site, many good neighbor hotel guests receive most of the perks Disney World resort guests receive (like complimentary transportation to the parks and early theme park entry). Cons = The complimentary transportation available at most good neighbor hotels do not run as frequently as Disney’s transportation options, meaning you may find it more challenging to get around property. In addition, families that are hoping for a resort that offers the “Disney feel” will not find that at this hotel. What do you think about this quote? Would you get booking, or keep looking?

Let’s talk about Disney dining! One of our favorite things about vacationing in Disney World is the vast array of dining options available to us. You can please a wide variety of palates, budgets, and preferences with all the restaurant options throughout Disney World. Over the coming weeks, I plan to highlight a few of our dining favorites for you to consider on an upcoming Disney trip. Some of these may be popular restaurants and more competitive to snag a dining reservation, but that’s where I come in! You can lean on me to manage your dining reservations leading up to your trip, so that’s one less thing to stress about. How great is that?

For this package, we are quoting a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children between 3-9 years old). They would like to stay in a family suite room for 6 nights and get 5 days of park tickets in August 2024. Applying the current discounts available, their vacation package would come to a total of $5,075 (prices and availability subject to change). Let’s talk pros and cons about this package. Pros = Greatest value for a family suite room at Disney World, suite offers room to sleep six people, two full bathrooms, and a kitchen area. Cons = All Star Resorts only offer bus transportation to the parks, these resorts host many sports and cheer groups throughout the year, so the resort may feel noisy and crowded. Let’s talk about getting groceries delivered to your Disney World resort! Did you know all Disney World resorts accept grocery deliveries sent to your hotel room? This is a great hack to stock your room with essentials like water, snacks, and easy meal solutions. Better yet, you don’t need to be present for your groceries to get delivered! The driver will leave your order with bell services and you can pick it up there. We prefer to use Garden Grocer, which is a local business operating in the Orlando area. We’ve used Amazon in the past and ran into issues with orders getting cancelled at the last minute (due to no delivery drivers being available). Curious about all your grocery delivery options? Looking for ways to spend a “rest day” while at Disney? You can visit Disney Springs without needing to purchase theme park admission. This makes Disney Springs a great spot to visit on your first or last day (since you most likely will be traveling on both of those days)! This resort offers a relaxing getaway vibe with the convenience of being on the Disney Skyliner (providing quick access to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios). For this package, we’re quoting a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids between 3-9 years old). They would like to stay for 5 nights and get 4 days of park tickets in May 2024. Applying the current discounts available, their vacation package would come to a total of $4,050 (prices and availability subject to change). Let’s talk pros and cons about this package. Pros = Convenient transportation with the Disney Skyliner, more relaxing vibe than other Disney resorts, and larger rooms compared to Disney value resorts. Cons = Large resort, so you may need to walk a decent amount to get to your room, and some rooms have not been renovated and may feel outdated. What do you think about this quote?
