In a time where it’s far easier to build new in a flourishing vacation rental market and still make $$, we opted to stick with what we know best - the fix and flip route. While we both thought we’d be done by now, a lot has been done since purchasing the cabin in October.
- A metal roof has replaced the multiple layers of deteriorating shingles that used to cover the cabin
- A new mini split heating and AC system was installed on the second floor
- The squirrels who called the attic and walls their home for years have been evicted, their paths blocked with metal and concrete trim and all the damage they did over the years has been repaired - most importantly the smell is gone.
- New metal stair railings added
- New flooring installed throughout the cabin replacing the hodge podge of multiple flooring types that used to be scattered throughout the cabin
- New cabinets partially installed
- Added a dishwasher, microwave and range
- Upgraded the outdoor fire pit
Next up… paint, tile, installing trim, power washing, & revamping the hot tub. Looking at only about two more months of work - fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻
