When she’s not going to a pink party, I have the sincere pleasure of calling Martina my friend. She works with us pretty much ‘round-the-clock daily at Italy As You Imagine as our ON THE GROUND associate in Tuscany.

She has been fundamental to our clients this summer in
🏖️ securing elusive beach club reservations on Tuscany’s pristine sand beaches,
🚐 organizing our drivers in Tuscany,
🍕 bringing new authentic experiences to our offering, and
🍷 cultivating perfect winery experiences.

We 💗 and know Tuscany more than any other of the 20 regions of Italy, but there’s nothing like having a bona fide local on our team.

💍 Plus Martina is our wedding, proposal and special events person in Tuscany. This is where she really makes the magic of Tuscany come alive!

We love 💕 you, Martina!

We ♥️ these reports from our clients!

If you don’t recognize it, this app is called WhatsApp, and we set up a group WhatsApp for each of our clients to answer questions, assist along their travels…and often get wonderful reports and picture shares like these.

We also connect in group chats our clients with our drivers in Roma, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Milano, etc. Our drivers are part of the Italy As You Imagine secret sauce to provide reliable transfers even at the height of the season when you otherwise hear reports of tourists left stranded by drivers who no show or those pesty, all-too-common taxi strikes.

Being connected on your Italian adventure is also part of the custom experience we provide our clients.

Buongiorno! A little weekly update:

• We have 20 clients in country as of this morning and
• 10 more will join in traveling to Italy this week

The second half of July sees a shift to a tad less American tourism.

August lends itself to even less Americans with a sharp increase of Europeans AND THE ITALIANS holidaying, centered around Ferragosto each August 15th.

The temps are still high, but often the crowds and pricing a tiny tad less than the peak of late June/early July.

The “shoulder months” of September and October, which used to be thought of as lower tourism and lower prices, have become extremely popular times to visit due to the still warm, yet not scorching, temps. You can still expect high tourism but with a shift from families with young children to couples and families with adult kids.

As we will soon be finishing out our peakest weeks of the year, we have started taking on 2026 clients. Please note we are closed to addtional clients in 2025.

In 2026, you can generally expect we will reach capacity for any given month at about 6 months out, with the exception of January - March and November. And we will not be increasing the number of clients we plan for in 2026.

Our scheduler (at the top of this page) reopens mid-August to discuss 2026 travel.

A picture below that one of our clients shared with us from their recent trip. We love how it captures the Tuscan lifestyle.

My reflections on Sardinia…

[First of all for those confused, I am back from Italy and sharing, chronologically, our travels from a few weeks back. I’ve found it’s important to give myself some time to process my adventures to best share them with you. Especially new places in Italy for me!]

With that, I could not be more ecstatic to begin bringing clients to Sardinia in 2026 (we do not plan in locales unless we’ve spent time there!).

I’m thinking of so many of my past clients who would enjoy this lovely Italian island (this year, almost 20% of our clients are repeat clients).

But I’m also thinking about first-time visitors to Italy. While in general, I often advise against including Sicily in one’s first trip to Italy/Europe, I think Sardinia is a wonderfully fine first-timer’s destination.

I think it pairs quite well with arriving into Italy - via Roma, Venice, Milan - and enjoying the tourism of an Italian city or two and then a quick, 1 hour flight to the island (on a big plane) for your perfect mix of relaxation and adventure among the most epic clear waters, real sand (an Italian rarity) and all the wonderful cuisine and wine of the mainland boot.

Each time I visit Italy, and I am admittedly blessed to call it my office, I naturally have concern whether this will be the one time I’m not as head over heals in love with it, and especially when visitng a new location. Well, once again, I am proven to worry for not!

SARDINIA IS AUTHENTICALLY SENSATION! Or should I say sunsational!?

But don’t trust me on this, trust the Italians themselves. So many of my trusted Italian contacts call Sardinia their favorite for holiday too.

With that, any guesses where we’re off to next?

Lastly, Stop 3️⃣ of boat days are best days!

Again, hardly any pics because who could resist immersing in that gorgeous water?

The boat made three glorious stops in Sardinia’s Archipelago of La Maddalena after departing from the port in Palau. Marked on the map are our of stops, as the islands of
❌ Budelli
❌ Spargi, and
❌ Santa Maria

Also 🔴 on the map for this area of Sardinia in context to Italy. Sardinia is the second largest region of the 20 in Italy and the second largest island in the Mediterranean, just behind Sicily to the tune of about 7% smaller.

Part ✌️ of boat days of best days. We moved to a second location.

Less pics here because they finally stopped feeding us 😜 so we spent all of our time frolicking in the water in the coves of these cool rock formations. The water still so clear, you don’t even need to snorkel - you see the fish right throight the water.

A client once said to me “boat days are the best days.”

At this point, I’ve enjoyed a few around Italy. It’s a must on the lakes, and I highly recommend on the Amalfi Coast.

Now I add Sardinia to that list of best places to have a best boat day.

There was so much to enjoy, I’ll divide the pics by the three places we anchored.

This is stop 1.
