πŸ₯Ύ Bucket list destinations and travel
πŸ‘‡πŸ» Follow along on our adventures! We love to travel and explore new places; in March of 2022, we decided to sell everything we own and change our whole lives. We bought a fifth-wheel RV and a heavy-duty RAM and moved into our first "home" with our dog, Littleman. We now live in our tiny home full-time and travel the country, slowly checking destinations off our bucket list!

This actually surprised us πŸ‘€

Something that surprised us most when visiting national parks this summer was seeing the difference between crowds the weekend before a holiday versus the actual holiday weekend. With most people getting extra days off during holiday weekends, naturally parks are busier and more crowded as people take advantage of these days off.

But what we found was that going the weekend before there were significantly less people, which makes sense. We decided to test that theory last weekend at Yellowstone and visited the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and we're presently surprised with the amount of people there.

With Labor Day being this weekend, we are expecting it to be busier and love seeing people enjoy our parks. However, we always like reminding people when visiting to be respectful and careful when exploring. We are grateful to have these incredible places at our disposal but it's up to everyone to keep them pristine and wild.

Please remember to do your part if you're planning on exploring any outdoor area this coming holiday weekend 🫢🏼

Our top recommendation for how to spend your first day in a new national park! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Every time we visit a new national park we feel so overwhelmed by how beautiful the landscape is and how much there is to do in the park. πŸ«ͺπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Years ago we started doing what we call "discovery day" where we go in with the sole purpose being to talk to rangers, get maps and do some easy viewpoints and stops to get the lay of the land. πŸ—ΊοΈπŸ§

We have found that this really helps us plan what we want to do first and helps us pick the best spots, hikes and locations we want to visit. πŸ€©πŸ™ŒπŸ» This was especially helpful for visiting Yellowstone because there truly is so much to do and see!!!

We know that not everyone has the time to dedicate to doing this but we always try to add it into our trip schedule so the first day can be easy and fun!

Share this reel with your favorite adventure partner and try testing it out for yourself! πŸ₯Ύ

⚠️ As we explore these beautiful National Parks, let’s make sure they stay wild.

🌿 Please remember to follow the Leave No Trace principles: stay on the designated trails to protect fragile ecosystems and always pack out what you pack in. Let's keep these places around for generations to come!

Does anyone else do a "discovery day" when visiting a national park for the first time? πŸ‘‡πŸ»

(This is literally my favorite game to play when we are out and meet new people πŸ˜…)
