My husband believes that a cruise doesn't officially start until he's had an ice cream cone. Doesn't matter the cruise line or itinerary. The first thing he does after he gets on a ship is goes for the cone! Swirl, please.

So excited to be heading to Los Angeles for a short shakedown training event on Ovation of the Seas.

When Royal Caribbean introduces a ship into a port it hasn't sailed from yet, they invite travel agents and to experience and learn about the ship before it starts it's official sailings.

We get the opportunity to tour the ship, see the different cabin types, and experience the specialty restaurants, plus more. I love every opportunity I get to be on a cruise ship. This ensures my ability to make sure I book you, my clients, on the perfect cruise.

Ovation of the Seas will be a great addition to the Los Angeles fleet.

I was so excited to give a sneak peek of the coming changes to WandWaver Travel... until I realized the new business cards have my home phone number. Thankfully, it was just a quick print of 15 cards at FedEx and not an order of 200 from the printshop!!!! Even with the typo, I love the new look and I can't wait for the reveal coming soon.

In addition to the info below, here's one more tip for cruisers: Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the last day of your cruise.

Even if your cruise line does not require you to have a passport, we STRONGLY recommend it for all international cruises. Not only is it convenient for getting on and off the ship, but it can really save the day if a health or family emergency requires you to quickly get back to the United States. Without a passport, you would have to get an emergency passport by visiting a U.S. embassy or consulate in order to fly home. Don't take the chance and pack your passport just in case. Find more tips at travel.state.gov/cruise.

*Note: Passport cards cannot be used for international air travel, so we recommend bringing a regular passport book

Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport

Located directly in the airport, the Hyatt Regency is the perfect pre/post cruise hotel when cruising out of Port Canaveral. If you're cruising on Disney and have pre-booked their ground transportation, this where you'll check in!!!

We just finished our Celebrity Equinox cruise out of Port Canaveral, and our flight isn't until 8:00 pm. We booked a Day Use Room at this hotel so we could have a comfortable place to relax until our flight.

We have access to all the hotel amenities, including the pool which is where I'll be headed shortly, and to the massive pre-TSA area of the airport which includes a decent food court and some fun places to shop.
