Ask us where to stay in Napa, and we won’t even pause. Neither will most sommeliers and chefs, by the way. The answer is the same.

Auberge du Soleil began as a restaurant in 1981, on a Rutherford hillside covered in olive trees, and the rooms came later. The Michelin-starred restaurant remains the heart of the property, and the terrace looks straight down the valley over some of the most famous vineyards in America.

A few reasons clients return: the adults-focused calm, the hillside spa, and a location that puts you 10 minutes from more legendary tasting rooms than you could cover in a week.

Napa deserves a proper stay. Get in touch and let’s start planning!

Here’s a piece of hotel trivia we love sharing with clients: Ritz-Carlton has around 100 hotels worldwide. Fewer than ten carry the word Reserve. Zadún is one of them.

The Reserve designation is the brand’s most exclusive tier, and it changes the experience completely. At Zadún, in San José del Cabo, that means villa-style rooms built into the desert dunes above the Sea of Cortez, a personal host assigned to your stay, and a pace that feels nothing like a big resort.

The spa, Alkemia, is a destination on its own, and dinner at Humo, the wood-fire restaurant, is one of the best meals in Los Cabos.

Advisor tip: winter brings whales right offshore, and this stretch of coast near Puerto Los Cabos is calmer than the Cabo San Lucas end. Reach out to learn more.

We can’t thank you enough for all the help and efforts you made to help make this trip and experience so incredible and unforgettable!

The hotels you recommended were amazing! Every single one. The locations were perfect we loved the botique feeling of Venice (perfect for that romantic city!) and the Rome suites were so nice and modern (perfect for that city and the end of the trip). But most of all, the Grand Hotel Fasano was absolutely superb! The views, the amenities, and their entire set up of the property was absolutely gorgeous. And the wait staff was some of the best we have ever encountered! I’m going to send them a separate note. Loved having the bikes for rent on site- we took full advantage of that one day! Also, the boat tour of Lake Garda was sooo cool! I’m also so glad we did the private boat from the Venice airport right up to our hotel - what a way to kick off the trip!

Thank you again for all of your recommendations and just the itinerary of everything. You were right - so glad we didn’t try and squeeze in the Amalfi Coast and stayed primarily north. It was the perfect balance of travel and seeing a lot but not feeling rushed either for the time we had - you nailed it! Loved starting in Venice then Lake Garda and working to Florence and Tuscany.

Speaking of Tuscany, that wine tour was amazing!! We did not realize we had it all to ourselves! I sent a separate email already to the owner, Giacomo complimenting him on the entire experience.

Everything in general went relatively smoothly with regards to the drivers and transportation/ logistics you helped arrange and setup. Everyone was so kind and helpful! Especially our wine tour driver and guide at the winery!

I also wanted to say thank you for your flexibility with everything and being so responsive throughout the entire process. That does not go unnoticed. I will definitely recommend you to others looking for a similar experience or more!

“How far in advance should we book?” It’s the question we hear more than any other, and the honest answer is: it depends on the trip. So we made you a cheat sheet.

12+ months: safaris, Antarctica and expedition cruises, Japan in cherry blossom season, festive holiday weeks, and river cruises.

9 to 12 months: Australia and New Zealand, European summer at top-tier properties, and multi-generational trips needing connecting rooms or villas.

6 to 9 months: most European trips, Southeast Asia, and Caribbean winter.

Under 6 months: city breaks, shoulder-season Europe, Mexico, and last-minute magic we can occasionally pull off through our relationships.

The pattern is simple: the smaller the property and the more specific the dates, the earlier you book.

Not sure where your dream trip lands on this list? Ask us. That’s what we’re here for.

Where would we send you in 2027? So glad you asked. Four places at the top of our list, and why the clock is already ticking on each:

Luxor and the Nile, Egypt. The Grand Egyptian Museum is finally open, and on August 2, 2027, a total solar eclipse crosses Egypt. Nile sailings around that date are selling out now.

Bhutan. Daily visitor fees keep the kingdom uncrowded, and its lodge circuit is world-class. Go while it still feels like a secret.

The Okavango Delta, Botswana. The camps here hold 8 to 12 tents each. Prime season availability for 2027 is already moving.

The French Riviera. Summer on this coastline books out a year ahead, and the legendary hotels fill first. Locking in now means choosing your property instead of settling.

The best trips of 2027 are being booked in 2026. Message us to plan yours.

“Is a Nile cruise actually worth it?” We get this question constantly. Our answer: on the right boat, it might be the best hotel in Egypt. And it moves.

Historia Boutique Nile River Cruise sails between Luxor and Aswan, designed around the glamour of 1920s river travel with a fully contemporary interior. Around 40 cabins, floor-to-ceiling windows facing the water, a rooftop pool deck, and a spa on board.

The real luxury is the format. You unpack once, and the temples come to you. Karnak and the Valley of the Kings, then Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae, each visited with expert Egyptologist guides while the boat handles every mile in between.

Advisor tip: itineraries run three, four, or seven nights, and the direction you sail changes the pacing. We’ll help you pick the right one. Let’s start planning.

Wrote off Punta Cana as all mega-resorts and swim-up bars? We did too, once. Then there’s this place.

Eden Roc Cap Cana, a Relais & Châteaux property inside the gated Cap Cana community, is built around freestanding suites, most with their own private pool, spread through tropical gardens a short ride from a swimmable, white-sand beach club.

Golfers, take note: Punta Espada, the Jack Nicklaus signature course with eight holes along the Caribbean, is minutes away and consistently ranked the best course in the region.

The practical part matters too. Punta Cana’s airport has nonstop flights from most major U.S. cities, so you can be at the pool by early afternoon.

Big Caribbean ease, boutique Caribbean feel. Message us to start planning.

We plan trips to the Alps, Aspen, and Japan every winter. So it means something when we say one of the world's great winter stays is in Canada.

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise stands directly on the shore of its namesake lake in Banff National Park, facing the Victoria Glacier. No other hotel gets this position, and in winter it becomes something out of a storybook: the lake freezes into a skating rink framed by ice sculptures, horse-drawn sleighs trace the shoreline, and the mountains stay dusted in white for months.

Skiers are spoiled here too. Three resorts are within easy reach, including Lake Louise Ski Resort just minutes away, with some of the most scenic runs in North America and none of the lift lines you'd expect for terrain this good.

Advisor tip: Lakeview rooms are worth every penny, especially in winter when the frozen lake and glacier fill your window. They sell out first, so this is a book-early property. Message us to start planning.
