EPIC UNIVERSE - FOOD EDITION

🍽️ Someone has to do the hard work of taste-testing, right?? I tried to get an appetizer and drink wherever we stopped.

Here are a couple standout bites I loved:
* 🥓 Charred Loaded Potato - from The Burning Blade Tavern — the jalapeño bacon is crispy and addictive.….especially with an adult beverage to cool it down!
* 🐉 Dragon Fire Chicken Spire - from Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel. This is comfort food to the max - creamy Mac & cheese, pulled-chicken, and hot honey. Chef’s kiss 💋

Now….one I didn’t love: the Bierauberre Crêpe.
Because this is French for “Butterbeer Crepe”, it’s a fan favorite……but it just didn’t do it for me. (To be fair—I don’t really have a sweet tooth. Put a plate of nachos in front of me and I’ll polish it off without blinking. Dessert? Meh.)

Instead, I DO recommend the Crêpe Citronnée aux Chambord - this one is SO fresh tasting, with just the right amount of sweetness.

One of the biggest surprises at Epic Universe?

The Rides. Are. Next. Level.

From the fast launches to story-driven coasters and adventures in fantasty lands, every ride felt fresh, creative, and totally different from anything l've done before.

Even rides I thought I knew how they'd go had a few fun tricks up their sleeves — and that made it even more fun (I’m looking at you “Hiccup's Wing Gliders”)!

Some are intense, some are kid-friendly, and there's definitely something for every kind of thrill level.

If you're wondering which ones are "worth the wait," I can help you prioritize!

Event Dates:

🎃 August – 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29
🎃 September – 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28 and 30
🎃 October – 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 31

Event Times:
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place from 7:00 PM to midnight. 🕰️ Ticket holders will be admitted to Magic Kingdom park as early as 4:00 PM on the valid date of their ticket, giving them even more time to enjoy park favorites before the event begins!

Ticket Prices:
💰 Event tickets are $119 to $229 per ticket, plus tax (prices vary by event date).

When to Purchase Tickets:
🗓️ Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets as early as May 15, 2025. All other Guests may purchase tickets beginning on May 22, 2025.

Thankfully, there is a designated family room for the little ones to wait in while those - who are brave enough - ride!🫣
