Wow! What an amazing two weeks in Europe - from Scotland’s Isle of Sky fairy pools to shopping In Paris, Its time to say au revoir! We toured by planes, trains (high speed and steam), trams, cars, buses, metros, funiculars, taxis, boats and some 70 miles on foot - needless to say, we looking forward to some down time in the airport lounge (after duty free shopping, of course)!

Found two in Lyon! There’s an anonymous French artist known for filling potholes all over the world with colorful mosaics. He goes by the name Ememem. In an effort to beautify the world, he transforms cracks, potholes, and damaged sidewalks into vibrant geometric artworks using a technique called “flacking,” derived from the French word flaque (meaning puddle). Ememem’s identity remains a secret, and the artist typically works at night to maintain anonymity. His mosaics can be seen in cities across Europe to help beauty to urban decay.

Glorious Day in Lyon, France. We spent the morning with a local chef, shopping the fresh markets and baking pralines (the Lyon style - which is a candied almond pastry) and prepping to cook a traditionl French dish.

We return this evening to finish our traditional French cuisine (chicken) lesson! Such fun and delicious! Fantastic experience for anyone in Lyon (HINT: Doing a Rhône river cruise - stay and extra day just to have this experience!). Must do.

Always trust the locals! The brioche bread on this Croque Monsieur was so flaky and delicious, I think I cried just a little. I did managed to eat 1/4 of the sandwich (open face) and there are no words. The veal was Impressive too! They have a small menu, but all local favorites.

The Jacobite steam train, also known as the "Hogwarts Express" for its role in the Harry Potter films, is a steam train in Scotland, offering scenic views of the Scottish Highlands. The 84-mile round trip runs from Fort William to Mallaig, passing iconic landmarks like the Glenfinnan Viaduct and Loch Shiel.
