Arrive to Oslo, Norways capital. The city is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and has a laid back atmosphere, interesting architecture, world class museums and a vibrant nightlife. The capital also boasts cycling, hiking, ice-skating, kayaking, sailing and skiing, all within its city limits and just a short train ride away. Next, take a scenic train ride to Bergen, gateway to the beautiful fjords. Your journey continues with a shrt flight to Alesund, a unique city which has been re-built in the attractive art nouveau style and is situated on a chain of islands. From here, take a full day tour to the world famous Geirangerfjord. Impressively boasting the #1 position in the list of UNESCO world heritage sights, the breathtakingly beautiful Geirangerfjord is not to be missed. Take time to experience this natural wonder on a full day sightseeing cruise from Alesund. A comfortable coach will take you to Hellesylt, from where you will cruise along the Geirangerfjord to Geiranger, past the dramatic scenery of steep mountains, sleepy farm houses and mesmerizing waterfalls. In Geiranger you will have time to explore and then a bus will take you up Eagle Road to see incredible views of the Geirangerfjord. The next day, board the Hurtegruten cruiseship going north, beginning your 2 day coastal cruise from Alesund to Svolvaer, in the Lofoten islands. Get settled in your private cabin and enjoy the views of the coastal villages and islands as you relax and cruise north for 2 days, all the way to Svolvaer, in the lovely Lofoten islands. While exploring the Lofoten Islands, stay in an old fishermen's cabin, a "rorbuer", that has been restored and turned into modern accommodation for travelers. Svolvaer is best explored by foot, and nearby activities to check out include rafting in the Trollfjord, visiting the Lofotr Viking Museum and discovering the other villages of the area.
