Week One
Good morning travelers,
Today is brand new and I can't wait to see what it holds. I certainly hope everyone is well and looking forward to your next adventure.
A few updates from Kay's Travel:
I have clients currently on the Viking Romantic Danube cruise. Their photos have been awesome so I can't wait to talk to them upon their return.
Next up are two couples traveling on Rocky Mountaineer in September. They'll be traveling on a luxury train and staying in Fairmont hotels between Vancouver and Calgary. I've arranged a special birthday dinner for one of the guests. They are going to fall in love with the views from the Chateau Louise Fairmont resort!
Then in November, two lucky couples are sailing the Caribbean on the Celebrity Apex. It's an incredible ship! I can hear the steel drums playing now. Anyone else want to sail the blue waters of the Caribbean in November?
And Christmas is the perfect time to take a Disney cruise on the new Disney Wish. A lovely family is doing a multi-generational cruise and will be making memories to last a lifetime!
As for groups:
The Mardi Gras Amtrak train from Mobile to NOLA began running on Saturday. Today is its' first run with paying customers. Tickets are approximately $15 per person, one way. I have 15 travelers booked for a September 2-3 trip from Biloxi to NOLA. Come join us! We'll be staying at Place d'Armes overnight. I have dinner reservations for all of us at GW Fins that night. The next morning will be a leisurely one with travelers enjoying the WW2 Museum, a cooking class, shopping in the French Quarter or at Yvonne LaFleur's or even relaxing by the pool. Hopefully, this will become a quarterly event and I'll be making plans for a Christmas day trip soon. The lights and decorations in NOLA are so beautiful that time of year!
Coming right up is my annual Christmas in NYC adventure for ladies. We'll be departing on December 9th and returning on December 13th. Our hotel this year will be the Marriot Marquis in the heart of Times Square. The selected theatre experience is Gypsy. I've heard wonderful reviews about this show. As always, I can book additional shows including the Rockettes for everyone. Days will be filled with shopping, enjoying the Christmas venues and lights, lots of delicious dining experiences and of course joy and laughter!
Rose Bowl, up close and personal. Next up is a wonderful opportunity to experience the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. I know it's on your bucket list! I've got an excellent supplier who has been a Rose Bowl guide for 42 years. He provides all transfers and excellent seats for the parade. We'll have a chance to explore LA, too. I can't wait to meet Bo in person. Contact me for details and pricing. Stop and smell the roses with me:)
Bonjour! This week I invited my Viking Paris to Normandy travelers to my home for a meet and greet. We have a group of 18 currently ready to leave for Paris on April 6, 2026. We have a pre-cruise extension in Paris and then an 8 day river cruise to and from Normandy. I am continuing to book cabins until the ship is sold out, which may be soon. Some categories have already sold out. Please consider joining us for the trip of a lifetime!
And finally, I am considering a Rocky Mountaneer group trip for next Fall. I'm trying to decide between the Colorado Rockies or the Vancouver to Calgary itineracy. Let me know which you would prefer.
And finally a tip for everyone: consider Global Entry for your international travel. It automatically gives you TSA pre-check. The fee is $120 and it is good for 5 years. An in-person interview is required for first time applicants. I often get asked about these two different services. TSA is for ease in flying domestically and departing from the USA. Global Entry gives you ease of entry upon your return from a foreign country back into the USA. I have mine and enjoy the shorter lines when I return from my travels out of the country.
