Where to Eat at Disneyland Park

By: Disney Destinations
June 27, 2025

For some, their favorite attraction at Disneyland isn’t a ride — it’s the food! With more than 70 restaurants and eateries in Disneyland Park, guests could easily build an itinerary dedicated to dining.

Our Disney dining team created a guide for the different types of dining experiences at Disneyland park, including menu recommendations and money-saving tips. There is something for a variety of palates, time preferences, and price points.

Guests planning to visit both theme parks should also be sure to check the guide to dining experiences at Disney California Adventure Park.

On-the-Go Snack Carts and Market Stands
Carts and market stands are conveniently located throughout the park, making it easy to pick up a beverage or snack on the way to guests' next attraction or show. Snack carts are where they will find iconic Disneyland treats, such as churros, popcorn, turkey legs, and Mickey Mouse-shaped pretzels. Market stands offer bottled sodas, whole fruit, pickles, and more.

Must-try snacks include:

Spicy pickles from Fantasyland Fruit Cart
Whole fruits from Tropical Imports
Garlic cheesy pretzel bread from Maurice’s Treats

Quick-Service Restaurants
Quick-service restaurants offer delicious and budget-friendly bites, which can be ordered at a walk-up counter. Many locations also offer mobile ordering through the Disneyland app.* These eateries can satisfy all kinds of cravings, from barbecue and Southern-style to Mexican, Italian, and more!

Some choices can be an especially great value because they are generous for one person or can be shared between two people.

Guests also have the flexibility to enjoy their meal in the restaurant’s seating area or take it away. On a recent visit to Disneyland park, I ordered a Burger Fantasyland faire fold from Red Rose Taverne, then enjoyed it on Main Street, U.S.A., while waiting for the “Paint the Night” parade to begin.

Iconic quick-service restaurants:

Star Wars-inspired fare from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Tacos, burritos, and more Mexican cuisine from Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante
Hearty American classics, such as hot dogs and chili, from Refreshment Corner
Must-try snacks:

Turkey leg from Edelweiss Snacks
Pepperoni pizza flop-over from Café Daisy
DOLE Whip float from The Tropical Hideaway

Table-Service Restaurants
Table-service restaurants offer multi-course, sit-down meals and a leisurely break from exploring the park. Guests can kick back, relax, and enjoy their meal in a themed and casual atmosphere! Most restaurants have kids' menus, so there are tasty choices portioned for little ones.

Advanced reservations are encouraged and can be booked on Disneyland.com or through the Disneyland app, with availability opening up to 60 days prior. Guests without reservations may be able to add their party to the walk-up list on the day of their visit at select table-service restaurants using the Disneyland app (subject to availability).

Recommended table-service restaurants:

Monte Cristo and other dishes with French Quarter flair from Cafe Orleans
Down-home, Southern cooking with a side of riverfront views at River Belle Terrace
Comfort foods inspired by some of Walt Disney’s favorite dishes at Carnation Café

Character Dining at Disneyland
Character dining experiences can be an incredible value for families and character fans. As guests dine, multiple Disney characters stop by their table for photos and autographs. Their tummy will be full of yummy food, and their heart will be full from greeting Disney pals!

Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn is a great way to start a day at Disneyland Park! The buffet spread includes made-to-order omelets and Mickey waffles, biscuits and gravy, bacon and sausage, fresh-baked pastries, and more.

Entertainment Dining Packages and Experiences
Select restaurants at Disneyland park offer dining packages, which come with a meal and reserved viewing for a parade or nighttime spectacular, such as “Paint the Night” and “Fantasmic!” A feast for the senses, these bundles are worth it for the unique menu offerings and prime entertainment viewing areas.

“Fantasmic!” dining packages are available at three restaurants, at a range of price points and mealtimes. Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante and Cafe Orleans offer standard dining packages for lunch or dinner, which include a voucher to enter a separate viewing area for the show that evening.

In addition to a standard package, River Belle Terrace has a premium offering, which features a three-course dinner guests can enjoy while watching the show right from their table.

Available now for a limited time, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering serves savory delectables, sweet treats, and beverages before “Fire of the Rising Moons” fireworks display or “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” illuminate the spires of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Inspired by flavors from across the galaxy, the menu options include cheeseburger croquettes, wonton citrus-ginger chicken salad tacos, pastries, chocolate, and more.

Insider Tips for Dining at Disneyland
Dining discounts: Magic Key annual pass holders and Disney Vacation Club members get special discounts on select food and beverages. To redeem their applicable discounts, guests should make sure their Magic Key ID or Disney Vacation Club membership is linked to their MyDisney account.

Plan ahead with mobile ordering: Guests can place your mobile food and beverage orders early in the day, so their meals can be prepared for them to pick up later on. This is especially helpful if guests plan to dine during the typical lunch and dinner hours, when the order counters may be busier.

Complimentary bottle-filling stations: Another option for fresh water on-the-go, guests can refill their personal water bottles at more than 10 bottle-filling stations across Disneyland park.

Hungry for more details? Guests can view the full list of restaurants and menus at Disneyland.com. Stay tuned to discover new and seasonal offerings.

To enter a park, both a theme park reservation and a valid ticket for the same park on the same date is required. Park reservations are limited, subject to availability, and not guaranteed. Parks, attractions, entertainment, experiences, services, and offerings may be modified, limited in availability, or unavailable, and are subject to restrictions, and change, or cancellation without notice. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed. Visit Disneyland.com/updates for more information about visiting the Disneyland® Resort.

Where to Eat at Disney California Adventure Park

By: Disney Destinations
June 27, 2025

Just like the Golden State itself, Disney California Adventure park has a melting pot of different foods and drinks to discover. It is home to more than 50 restaurants, eateries, and dining experiences!

To help guests decide where to dine during their visit, here is a guide to the types of food and beverage options at Disney California Adventure — with a side of expert tips. From on-the-go bites to upscale dining and everything in between, something is sure to satisfy every taste and budget.

For more snack and restaurant recommendations to chew on, check out the guide to dining options at Disneyland Park.

On-the-Go Snack Carts and Market Stands
Snack carts and market stands scattered around the park make it easy to pick up a refreshing soda or quintessential Disney treat throughout the day. Churros, Mickey Mouse-shaped pretzels, popcorn, ice cream, and turkey legs are just some of the budget-friendly, handheld eats guests can find at these locations.

Must-try snacks include:

Cosmic cream orb from Terran Treats
Savory wraps — including a plant-based option — from Shawarma Palace
Jack-Jack cookie num num from Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums

Quick-Service Restaurants
These casual eateries are fast, flavorful, and budget-friendly! Quick-service restaurants accept orders at a walk-up counter, and many also offer mobile ordering through the Disneyland app.* At California Adventure, there’s a range of cuisines to choose from: Mexican street tacos, Asian-inspired dishes, and even out-of-this-world Super Hero eats.

Some choices can be an especially great value because they are generous for one person or shareable between two people.

Once guests' food is picked up, they have the flexibility to enjoy their meal at the restaurant’s seating area or take it on the go. When we visit the parks with a group and we all crave something different, we’ll place mobile orders at separate restaurants and meet somewhere to eat together. A win-win for everyone!

Quick-service restaurants to try:

Burgers and chicken sandwiches hot off the grill from Smokejumpers Grill
Street tacos and San Fransokyo-style street corn from Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill
Italian favorites with a California twist from Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
Other must-try snacks include:

Made-to-order corn dogs or cheddar cheese sticks from Corn Dog Castle
Chicken drumsticks and more from Poultry Palace

Table-Service Restaurants
Table-service restaurants — also known as sit-down restaurants — offer multi-course meals and a leisurely break from the day’s activities. If guests have the time, it’s worth booking a reservation (or a few!) to savor a filling meal and the beautiful park atmosphere. Many locations offer kids' menus with choices little ones will enjoy.

Reservations are encouraged in advance of a visit and can be booked on Disneyland.com or the Disneyland app up to 60 days in advance. Guests without a reservation may be able to add their party to the walk-up list on the day of their visit at select table-service restaurants using the Disneyland app (subject to availability).

Table-service restaurant recommendations:

Wine Country Trattoria is an outdoor retreat reminiscent of a Tuscan villa, featuring elegantly prepared Italian specialties and wines by the glass

Lamplight Lounge celebrates the creativity of Pixar Animation Studios over gastropub cuisine, signature cocktails, and more; its secondary location, Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining, is an alfresco patio with some menu items guests can only find there

Signature Dining at California Adventure
Signature dining is a must-do for foodies, and it’s a memorable way to celebrate a special occasion. California Adventure has a fine dining restaurant right on Buena Vista Street, the Carthay Circle Restaurant.

Modeled after the iconic Carthay Circle Theatre movie palace in Los Angeles, this upscale locale transports you back to the Golden Age with sophisticated meals, retro cocktails, and a romantic Art Deco interior. The seasonal menu features innovative dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients.

Entertainment Dining Packages and Dessert Parties
Storytellers Cafe — located in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa — and Wine Country Trattoria offer the World of Color Dining Package, which includes a delectable meal and a voucher to enter a reserved area with prime views of “World of Color Happiness!” Magic Key annual pass holders can also purchase a World of Color Dining Package from the Magic Key Terrace.

Desserts and a show? Sign us up! Bookable dessert parties invite guests to nosh on a selection of sweets and sips while enjoing a show from a designated viewing area. The Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade Dessert Party at Sonoma Terrace features artisan cheeses, crackers, and Pixar-inspired treats in a souvenir box, plus a selection of beverages. The World of Color Dessert Partyincludes artisan charcuterie and cheeses, themed macarons, mini cakes, and more.

These experiences are worth it for the unique menu offerings and prime entertainment viewing areas.

California Adventure Dining Tips

Disney App Updates Make Booking Dining Reservations Easier Than Ever

By: Disney Destinations
June 27, 2025

With guest needs in mind, updates have been made at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World to make planning vacations simpler. Now, it’s easier than ever for guests to find dining reservations for whatever they're craving on a whim or visit that bucket list location they've been dreaming about for their next Disney trip.

These features improve on guest-favorite enhancements to simplify the planning experience, and are now available on the Disneyland app* for Disneyland and the My Disney Experience app for Disney World, or on the web at Disneyland.com or DisneyWorld.com. Guests can learn how to make the most of their next visit with these new features, no matter how their crew chooses to explore all the dining Disney Parks have to offer.

For the Bucket-List Dining Spot

View all dates with available reservations at any dining location
Improved labeling for Character Dining

So, guests have one specific dining location at the top of their family’s must-do list. Now, searching on the app makes it simple to see all dates with available reservation timeslots at any individual restaurant on a handy calendar. Select a dining location and party size to see an overview of which dates have reservations available, indicated with a green dot. Then, they can plan their vacation accordingly. This is a great feature for guests looking to dine at some of our most popular locations — even those hard-to-snag dining spots. Bucket list dining reservation: acquired!

For a character dining experience, guests can look for the Mickey icon and a label on available reservation times.

For the Plan Every Detail in Advance Family
Search availability for ALL dining locations across a date range
Custom time slider to target exact dining times
Some guests are the one in the family who has an hour-by-hour spreadsheet in the works immediately after their trip is booked. This update is for the trip planning gurus. The expanded search by date range allows guests to view availability for ALL dining locations across multiple dates, rather than only one location across a date range. Use the tabs at the top to look at different dates within a search range.

The time range search has also been updated to find more specific times that fit with guests' plans. To customize the time, move the slider in the search to select a range down to the hour.

Remember: Disneyland Resort guests can start booking dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. If guests are staying with us at a Disney Resort hotel at Disney World, they can start booking 60 days in advance for their entire length of stay (up to a 10-night stay).

For the Go-With-The-Flow Group

Join a walk-up list or place a mobile order from select Disney World table service locations when searching for same-day dining reservations

Improved sorting and filtering for nearby locations

Some groups let pixie dust (and their stomachs) guide where they go next at the parks. Now, when guests search for same-day dining reservations, easily join a walk-up list or place a mobile order to-go at Disney World table service locations that offer it. Improved sorting and filtering means guests can search by theme park and nearby resort areas to narrow down their options by location, or filter by Disney Springs at Disney World or the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland. If guests are using a Disney Dining plan at Disney World, there’s a filter for them, too! Guests can filter by which locations accept credits and how many they'll need.

Cool new feature alert: Whether guests need to see what their menu options look like or get a general overview of the vibes, they can check out the new media gallery to get a visual sneak peek. They can look for the ring around a location’s thumbnail photo to open the gallery (Disney World only).

There’s nothing like a visit to a Disney park. Whether guests are celebrating everything the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration has to offer or experiencing all the fun of Cool KID SUMMER at Disney World, it’s easier than ever to experience dining in a way that works best for guests and their families. Stay in-the-know on our page for the latest in what’s tasty, and guests should be sure to download the Disneyland app or the My Disney Experience app (for Disney World) when they are ready to start planning.

Future Expansion Plans for Disneyland Resort

By: Disney Destinations
June 6, 2025

We’re excited to share a peek behind the curtain at some of our long-term plans to expand and grow here at Disneyland Resort!

All-New Parking Structure and Transportation Hub Coming to Resort Area
Plans are underway for a new parking structure and transportation hub that will be built on the east side of Disneyland Resort, on a portion of what is currently the Manchester cast member parking lot. This new area will provide approximately 6,000 parking spaces, shuttle and rideshare areas, security screening, and dedicated access for traffic off of Disney Way, improving parking and traffic flow throughout the resort area. As you can see from the artist concept rendering, this new parking and transportation hub will also feature a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard, leading to an all-new esplanade arrival experience. This pedestrian bridge will also provide convenient public access to and from Harbor Boulevard.

These enhanced parking, transit, and arrival offerings are the first step in our next phase of construction, creating the infrastructure necessary to prepare for future growth and to welcome more guests as new experiences are added – including two all-new attractions that will double the size of Avengers Campus, plus the new “Coco”-themed ride and Avatar destination coming to Disney California Adventure Park. The multi-year construction of this new arrival experience is slated to begin in the fall of 2026.

Updates on the Location for the “Coco” Attraction
As we continue to add new experiences to Disney California Adventure, we’re excited to share that the upcoming attraction themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” will be built near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in areas that are predominantly backstage today. Construction on this attraction is set to begin backstage this fall!

Avatar Experience Location Details
Additionally, we’re looking forward to transforming a portion of the current Hollywood Backlot area into our Avatar destination in Disney California Adventure. This project is still in the early stages of development, and additional details will be shared later, including construction timeframes.

To make way for this new experience, Monsters, Inc.: Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in early 2026.

This is just the beginning of exciting growth here at Disneyland Resort, and we look forward to sharing more about all of these projects in the future.
