One of my favorite ways to maximize your wedding décor budget is to repurpose your ceremony flowers at the reception.

Most wedding vendors offer the option to move your ceremony florals to the reception for a small moving fee, allowing you to get double the use without paying for double the flowers. 👏🏽

For this wedding, these gorgeous floral towers were used at the altar during the ceremony and then moved to the reception to frame the sweetheart table backdrop. 🪻🌺

And it didn’t stop there! The floral arrangements lining the aisle during the ceremony were also repurposed and placed in front of the sweetheart table, adding another beautiful layer of detail to the reception.

✨ The result? A completely different reception look without having to spend hundreds of additional dollars on brand-new florals.

Planning a destination wedding? 💍🌴 There’s one BIG thing you need to consider BEFORE you lock in your resort: the cost for your guests to attend.

The resort you choose and even the time of year you choose to get married can make a huge difference in whether most of your guest list can realistically be there, or whether you end up with less than half of the people you love celebrating with you.

The number 1 question I get from couples planning a destination wedding:

“What happens if it rains?”

The answer? Nothing we can do, the show must go on 😂

Just kidding lol 🤣 in all seriousness, every resort has a backup indoor plan if rain is in the forecast. Even when there’s only a small chance of rain and the decision is made to keep everything outdoors, those first few raindrops can definitely make everyone’s heart skip a beat. It will be in that moment when you know you’ve chosen a great resort. The entire team jumps into action, covering what they can, protecting the décor, and staying ready because these tropical showers usually pass as quickly as they arrive. Once the rain stopped, the staff quickly dried everything off, and the celebration picked right back up like nothing ever happened!

One thing that worked in this couple’s favor was they chose beautiful wood reception tables instead of linens. They were easy to dry and allowed us to get everything back to normal much faster. It’s a small detail that can make a big difference and something every destination wedding couple should consider.

Rain may cause a brief delay... but it doesn’t have to ruin your dream day, plus there is a saying that rain on your wedding day is good luck 😊

GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR 💃🕺love to see family and friends having a blast. This level of dancing and excitement was brought to you by the great Harry McCloskey Jr and DJ Korey Oats on the beat, playing hit after hit. They are local in PA but love to travel and most resorts will let you bring your own DJ / Emcee from the states with no outside vendor fee as long as you rent the equipment through the resort and book their stay within your room block. Keep that in mind as the music sets the vibe and the vibe sets the tone for a great wedding 💍🥂🍾

Wishing this beautiful couple Kyler Laycock-Clifford and Angela Martin ♛ a Happy 1 month anniversary 🍾🥂💍 I truly enjoyed the experience of having a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all on the beach and I think many couples should consider it. Often times destination weddings are held in a terrace or gazebo or garden area and very rarely do we see the entire wedding on the sand but it was beautiful 🤩 I hope this inspires other couples to consider it.
