My flight to Miami left Newark at 6am. Ugh, but I was determined to make it a great day.. after all, that is kinda’ my job.

I had six hours to kill with a zippy little rental so I rolled the windows down, turned the radio up, and cruised down the Keys.

First stop was for lunch. I had the blackened Mahi tacos, which were delicious. They had live music and lots of seating with a beautiful beach and ocean views. I was driving so I didn’t partake, but they have a really cool tiki bar too.

Next up was the obligatory slice of key lime pie. All the folks on line in front of me got the chocolate dipped frozen slice, so I figured that was the way to go. They were right.. it was delicious!

The has a beautiful, quiet garden out back where you can enjoy your treat. You can also purchase a love lock to add to “Love Lock Way”.

After that I headed back up to Miami to check in to my hotel and then back out to find Norwegian’s Miami offices.

The work starts tomorrow, I have training bright and early in the morning. But today was about making work fun. Mission accomplished!

BTW, that zippy little rental was from .usa who I really like. They offer lots of choices from basic models to really fun cars. I even rented a Maserati from them once, so fun!

Beginning today, both Walt Disney World water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach are now open for the summer!

My advice..
Summer in Florida is 🥵HOT🥵 Get to one of the other parks for rides and characters early and enjoy your morning. Have lunch at a sit down restaurant and soak up the AC. Then head over to one of the water parks and enjoy the rest of the afternoon cooling off. Top off your day by heading back in the evening for fireworks.
