“Can you hear it?” my husband asked.
We were walking through Grant Park when the distant sound of the train stirred something familiar. I said, “The train is coming!” and took off toward the hill—the one that proudly says Grant Park, the one with that view.

From up there, you can see it all: the Galena River winding through town, the historic west side rising in red brick and charm, and the tracks that still hum with life.

I caught the train just as it curved into the frame—close enough to wave at the engineer.

It was one of those moments.
Right place. Right time.
And there’s no place like Galena for moments like that.”
