WHY YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE "SSSS" ON YOUR BOARDING PASS!

Travelers that are not aviation professionals can be stymied by all the numbers and acronyms published on their boarding pass. Most know how to identify their flight numbers, boarding time and seat assignment and that is the limit of their knowledge. There is an abundance of other info on that trusty piece of paper (digital impression on phone) that most are totally unaware of. One such designation is SSSS. What does that mean? What can you expect to happen if you see that repetitive S on your boarding pass?

If you are visiting Portofino this summer, you may want to be aware of the “no-waiting” zone to combat path and road blockings. Fine is €270.

Portofino is a stunning village on the Ligurian coast with a resident population of few hundred inhabitants, but in summer tourists flock the area, take several pictures in the most popular spots, leaving the village with overcrowded streets and traffic jams.

The ban aims to prevent larger groups of visitors from gathering in some places for too long; the ban will remain in place until the summer season ends on October 15.

Officials from the White House confirmed that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) would no longer enforce the mask mandate on public transportation, even though the White House may still appeal the decision in the future and is reportedly considering its next steps.

“Today’s court decision means CDC’s public transportation masking order is not in effect at this time,” the official said according to multiple reports. “Therefore, TSA will not enforce its Security Directives and Emergency Amendment requiring mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs at this time.”

The above quote was in response to Federal judge, Kathryn Mizelle ruling that the CDC overstepped it's authority when issuing the mask mandates!
