What is your “why” for traveling?

I grew up in a small town where the closest airport was at least two hours away.

My first plane ride was to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 2008. After that, my now-husband and I flew to Fiji in June 2009 to get married on the beach. It was his first flight!

After being culture-shocked in Fiji, in a good way, I realized just how much of the world and its people I had been missing out on.

My desire to travel really intensified after having my son in 2013. I wanted to make sure he was able to see as many places and experience as many different cultures as possible within our budget.

His first trip to the beach was Cozumel in 2015 during a Caribbean cruise from Galveston. Since then, he has visited and experienced many different Caribbean destinations. As he gets older, I hope we can take him to places he can truly appreciate and remember. Even if he does not remember the earliest trips, the memories we made traveling are some of my favorite parts of his childhood so far.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I truly love planning trips. I planned far more than our budget had room for, but that was part of the fun for me. Eventually, I knew I wanted to do that for other people too. I wanted to help them make the same kinds of memories my family has made.

That is a big part of why I do what I do now. I love planning your trips. I love seeing your photos. I love hearing about the amazing things you did while you were there. And I love helping find the best fit for each person, couple, or family.

Travel means memories, perspective, connection, and experiences you carry with you forever.
