Bienvenue au Château! First night of Bill Cone’s ( pastels )workshop in Trôo, France at the Château de la Voûte, with Plein Air Holidays. A smorgasbord of locally produced cheeses, charcuterie, vegetables, fruits, macarons, pâté de fruits and dark chocolate citronettes was enjoyed by all!

Chef Luka aboard the Croatia rocked our world. From scampi buzara to sea bass roasted in parchment paper to steak with mushroom cream, the food this week was nothing short of spectacular! Hvala Luka!

Sketching, swimming, and smiling here in Rovinj! Today we worked on perspective, water and capturing the old town’s jumble of terracotta roofs. Will post photos of the finished work tomorrow. 😉 Learning lots from !

Day 2 of our Sketchbook holiday in Rovinj included mixing delicious colors for our “toy town” paintings, learning the “splash & scribble” technique to capture our lunch dishes before they got cold, swimming in the crystalline Adriatic, sketching at a choir concert, and going to our new fave restaurant, Mmmmm what a day! Thanks , looking forward to seeing where tomorrow takes us.
