This was one of my favorite parts of the trip. The Doolin Folk Festival. Coner Connolly is the singers name. His was amazing the band sounded great. The part I loved the most was the fact Conner would tell the history of the song which in turn told the history of Ireland. Modern day seanchaí. (Irish storyteller)

We said goodbye to Killarney and said hello to one of our favorite places in the world Di**le Town. I say Di**le town because it happens to be located on the Di**le peninsula. We also made the hike up to the Eask Tower which overlooks the harbor and was once used to help ships guide into the bay.

This is the General Post Office or GPO and is the sight of a major shift in Irelands history. It is here where, what became the 1916 Easter Rising many Irish patriots stood up for their freedom. If you look close you can see bullet holes left in the pillars.

2 days away until Ireland. The beauty of Ireland is there is something for all weathers. Go see the sights take in the people and explore. If you are among the millions of Americans who can trace your ancestors back to the Irish or even t he Celtic nations you have much to explore. Also explore the pub life, even if you are a teetotaler do not overlook the pubs. They are more than just a place for a good pint. 3 days away from Ireland 2024. On the left is a full Irish Breakfast and would recommend to stay where breakfast is included. Even though I am a 16:8 faster, I highly recommend eating a larger breakfast, snacking at lunch and then taking in a great supper. It gives you the energy and time to see and hike great places like the picture below. This was taken on one of our previous adventures at the Wicklow National Park. This is a stop for us on every Ireland trip and will be again this year. We plan on doing the larger loop and see some more amazing sights.
