Exploring nature with the help of an app might not really sound all that ‘outdoorsy’, but we promise it is! Our app isn’t going to keep you glued to your screen, it has been designed to keep your attention on the trail and the beautiful world around you.

We use audio tours combined with GPS to help you get pertinent information that draws your attention to the treasures of the trail without you even needing to touch your screen.

We’re not trying to replace good old fashioned exploring, we’re trying to make it better!

Two of the groups we’ve kept in mind as we’ve been building this app are the brave souls who make up search and rescue teams around the world and the suffering families who have lost loved ones on hikes and outings.

One of the ways you can progress through audio tours involves using your GPS to keep the app up-to-date with your real-time location.

As an option, you will be able to turn on location reporting so that your last known location will be kept by Explore Galore and handed over to search and rescue in the case of an accident. It’s a small thing, but we hope to save lives with this feature.

We’ve faced many obstacles as we’ve tried to develop this app. Many would say that what we’re trying to accomplish is impossible, but we say impossible is just a word!

Impossible or not, together we are going to Transcend the Trail.

Explore Galore’s motto is “Transcend The Trail”. One way we can do this is by helping others discover themselves and supporting worthy causes that help build individuals and communities. It is our hope to support missionaries worldwide that have these goals in mind through the LIGHT Initiative. Youth and seniors alike can register for this program, providing proper documentation of an upcoming or ongoing missionary or humanitarian effort on their part.
They will be able to use the app to create a positive and uplifting audio tour. Many of these will not be trail specific, but can be listened to and viewed from anywhere, at any time. These messages will be hopeful, inspiring, and motivational.
Missionaries will be expected to post updates of their assignment to continue receiving the designated percentage of each download. The amount awarded to each missionary per download will be much higher than the other income generating programs we offer. You will be able to see photos, hear stories, and follow specific missionary efforts through the app and the Explore Galore website. The LIGHT Initiative will be one of our greatest achievements because it will surely “help us all discover the hidden treasures of the world and its people.”

Through our virtual hiking log you’ll be able to record memories from hikes that you take and share them with friends, family, fans, or followers. You’ll have a digital record of your adventures so that you can remember them forever.

Exploring doesn’t have to be intimidating. Explore Galore was built because we saw a world where people were caged in self-doubt and uncertainties that kept them from living the extraordinary lives they were made for.

We at Explore Galore recognize limitations that often contribute to feelings of isolation, loneliness, and lack of opportunity to explore the world. We intend to promote events in local communities to help bring people together.
In the future, we will accomplish this by designing virtual reality tours that combine audio content with drone recorded visuals of specific trails. Volunteers will then be able to take the technology to anyone unable to reach these amazing destinations and provide a memorable and rewarding experience from a distance.

We’re doing all this because we believe that everyone has the right to live a happy and fulfilling life full of learning and adventure.
