One of my favorite little Disney Cruise Line tips that so many first time cruisers miss! ✨

If you go into the photo section on your stateroom TV, your onboard photos will actually play as a slideshow right in your room. 📸📺

Kids LOVE seeing themselves “on TV,” and it’s also such an easy way for adults to review photos before deciding whether to purchase any. We usually check ours at night while getting ready for dinner or winding down after a busy port day. 🚢✨

Such a simple little feature, but it makes the cruise feel even more magical. ❤️

Have you tried this onboard yet?

One of my favorite easy money-saving tips on a Disney Cruise Line vacation ✨

If you decide not to purchase the onboard photo package, you can still get wonderful family photos and videos throughout your cruise. At character meet-and-greets and many photo locations around the ship, just hand your phone to the photographer or Cast Member and they’ll happily take photos — and often short videos too 📸

It’s such a great way to capture the memories while keeping a little extra room in the budget for things like port adventures, Palo brunch, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, or that extra souvenir your kids suddenly need 😂

I still personally love the photo package for some sailings, especially longer cruises or special occasions, but this is a fantastic option if you’re trying to save a little money and still come home with magical memories ❤️

If you’ve ever stepped out of your stateroom and had that “wait… which way is forward?” moment — this is your trick 😅

Next time, just look down.

On the four original Disney ships, the stars in the hallway carpet all point toward the forward of the ship 🚢✨
On the Wish-class ships, the patterns change depending on the deck (so it’s not always the same design), but they still subtly point you forward too.

Once you notice it, it’s so easy—and you’ll never wander the hallways again 😉

One of those little details Disney didn’t have to do… but did.

Wait… Disney sells mystery wine for a discount? 🍷👀

It’s called the sommelier bin—and it’s one of those fun little onboard secrets.

You’ll usually find it at Meridian (on the Dream-class ships, right outside Palo and Remy) and at The Rose (on the Wish-class ships near Enchanté and Palo). It’s now listed on the menu at those venues, but here’s the insider tip… sometimes you can ask for it at other bars onboard too.

Here’s how it works: you pick red, white, or bubbly—and then it’s completely luck of the draw. No label, no clues when you order… just a surprise pour. When your server brings it to the table, they’ll let you know exactly what you received.

It’s such a fun way to try higher-end wines (and even champagne) at a lower price… and honestly, half the fun is the reveal.

Would you go for the sommelier bin… or do you need to know exactly what’s in your glass? 🍷✨

One of the best things about a Disney cruise is how easy Disney makes your evenings. If you have early dining, you’ll head to dinner first while late dining guests watch the show. Then you’ll swap. Late dining goes to dinner while early dining heads to the theater.

No reservations needed, no rushing around, and no stress trying to figure out when to fit in the Broadway-style shows. Disney has the rhythm of the night down perfectly.

It’s one of those little things that makes a Disney cruise feel so easy.

Disney added 30 new Mickey & Minnie Cove cabanas on Castaway Cay… including one Grand Cabana.

Each cabana has its own character theme, color palette, and location—and some definitely have different pros depending on what your family wants.

Some are closer to the restaurant and tram stop. Some have more shade. Some are near the lifeguard stands. Others have a flatter beach area or are closer to the water.

Kelly, from DCL 101, stayed in Cabana 12 themed to Chip and Dale and put together a full guide with photos of every cabana so you can compare the colors, characters, steps, vegetation, and beach setup. Which is your favorite?

One of our favorite ways to start a sea day on Disney Cruise Line is grabbing a cappuccino from Cove Café, finding a quiet spot on deck, and just slowing down for a few minutes. We love the printer that can add fun Disney designs right onto the foam. It’s such a simple thing, but it feels extra magical on a Disney cruise.✨☕️

Coffee on a Disney Cruise is actually one of those easy wins ☕✨

You’ve got included Joffrey’s coffee:
✔️ In the restaurants
✔️ Room service
✔️ Self-serve stations around the pool deck

And if you prefer lattes or espresso drinks, there are coffee shops on every ship (not just Cove Café), plus a punch card if you plan to grab a few during your cruise.

But here’s a little tip…

👉 Order coffee from room service the night before

It comes in an insulated carafe so it will still be warm in the morning!
✨ Enjoy coffee on your verandah without waiting
✨ Skip the morning lines
✨ Have coffee ready on disembarkation day (when room service isn’t available)

Such a small thing—but it makes your mornings so much better.

Are you grabbing coffee on the go or slowing down on your verandah? ⬇️

There’s a moment every night on a Disney Cruise where it feels like you have the ship to yourself… 👀

We call it Magic Hour ✨

It’s that window when:
👉 Early dining is at dinner
👉 Late dining is at the show

And suddenly…
✔️ Shorter lines for the AquaDuck / AquaMouse
✔️ Less crowded pool deck
✔️ Way more space in all your favorite spots

It doesn’t last forever—but if you time it right, it’s one of the best parts of the cruise.

Have you ever noticed this? Or tried it on purpose? ⬇️
