🧚✨ Fish Extenders sound like a little too much? You can still spread the magic!

Meet PIXIE DUSTING! ✨

Unlike a traditional Fish Extender exchange, pixie dusting doesn’t have to involve a formal group, assigned cabins, spreadsheets, or making gifts for everyone.

Some sailing-specific Facebook groups may organize a Pixie Dust list, where cruisers can sign up to give—and sometimes receive—little surprises from other guests.

Or you can keep it completely casual! Bring a few small Disney-themed surprises with you and leave a little something for another cruiser you meet along the way, place a surprise in a Fish Extender, or simply find a fun way to brighten someone’s day. 🎁✨

The important thing to know: Fish Extenders and pixie dusting are guest-created traditions—not official Disney Cruise Line activities.

So if a full Fish Extender exchange feels overwhelming, don’t feel like you’re missing out! You can make it as simple as you want.

One of the best things about a Disney Cruise? You don’t have to rush. 💙🚢

This was Castaway Cay around 11 AM, and there were still plenty of chairs and shady spots available!

So if your family prefers a slower morning, you can sleep in, enjoy breakfast on the ship, grab those churro Mickey waffles 🧇✨, take your time getting ready, and then head off the ship when you’re ready.

You don’t always have to be first off the ship to have a great day at Castaway Cay! 🌴

✨ Sometimes the best cruise days are the ones where you slow down and enjoy the magic at your own pace.

No need to wander around the dining room looking confused! Once you’re onboard, open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and look under My Plans to find your table number for dinner.

Did you know you may be seated with other guests during rotational dining on your Disney cruise?

If that’s not your thing, Disney lets you make ONE dining table preference before you sail! You can request:

🍽️ A private table
🤫 A quieter area
🪟 Near a window
✨ The center of the dining room
🎭 Near a stage or screen

You can only choose one, and requests aren’t guaranteed — but it’s definitely worth knowing your options!

Disney Cruise gratuities: prepay or wait? 💰🚢

The good news—you’re not paying more either way! Prepaid gratuities are the same amount as the gratuities charged onboard.

If you choose to prepay, they’re taken care of before you sail. If you don’t, Disney will automatically add the gratuities to your onboard account toward the end of your cruise.

So there’s no discount for prepaying—it’s really just about whether you’d rather pay before your vacation or have them added onboard.

Don’t worry—you won’t be wandering the ship looking for dinner. 😂

Once you’re onboard, open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and look under My Plans. Your dining rotation will tell you exactly which restaurant you’re eating in that night. You’ll also be able to see your dining time and table number.

And remember—you don’t choose just one main dining room for your cruise. With Disney’s rotational dining, you’ll rotate through the different restaurants, and your serving team rotates with you! 🚢✨

Did you know Mickey can call you before your Disney cruise?! 🐭☎️ And it’s FREE!

Disney Cruise Line lets you schedule a character call before your sailing — such a fun way to surprise the kids (or, let’s be honest, the Disney adults too 😂).

To schedule yours:

🚢 Go to the Disney Cruise Line website and choose Already Booked
✨ Pull up the information for your specific sailing and scroll toward the bottom
☎️ Look for the option to schedule your Character Call

You can currently choose Mickey, Mickey & Minnie together, or Goofy, and choose when you want the call.

Disney will also ask for a few details about your cruise — including your ship and where you’re sailing — so the character can personalize the call to your vacation. ❤️
