⭐ Each program will be held at the Cedar Pass Amphitheater at 9:00 PM and will be followed by the arguably world-famous Badlands Night Sky Program at 9:30 PM.

Everyone loves to focus on our blast door art (and let's be honest, who doesn't appreciate Tony Gatlin and Rob Drury's Domino's pizza theme?), but we would like to take a moment to appreciate the door itself. The mechanics, the engineering, the feat! Made to withstand up to 1,000 psi! 12 lock pins! And weighing in a whopping 8 tons. As Americans are reputed for using anything but the metric system, we would like to give some equivalent weight comparison: 2 adult elephants (depending on whether you are using the African bush or the African forest elephant), 4 baby elephants, 40,000 hamsters, a t-rex, two hippos (roughly), or a tractor (just slightly more than). Any other items you would like to compare the weight to? We are feeling in a mood to do math.
