Planning a visit to the Glen Iris Inn this fall? Save this tip! 🍂

During periods of high traffic or temporary entrance closures at Letchworth State Park, guests with dining or overnight reservations at the Glen Iris Inn are encouraged to use the Portageville (South) Entrance at 6849 Park Road, Portageville, NY.

Have your reservation or confirmation information ready to show the gate attendant. Even if barriers are in place due to high traffic, Glen Iris Inn guests can let the attendant know they have a reservation and will be directed through.

Fall weekends are some of the busiest times in Letchworth, so planning ahead can help make getting to your reservation or check-in a little smoother!

🍁 Tip: Keep your confirmation email easily accessible on your phone before arriving at the park.

Fall hiking season is here! 🍂

Before you hit the trails around Letchworth and Wyoming County, make sure you’re prepared for cooler temperatures, changing weather and a day of exploring.

A few things to bring along:
• Comfortable, sturdy hiking shoes
• Plenty of water
• Snacks for the trail
• Layers for changing temperatures
• A trail map or downloaded map
• A charged phone or portable charger
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
• A hat or beanie for cooler days

Save the date for a fall 5K with a purpose! 🍎🏃

The Buried Barrel Hard C***r Trail 5K returns Sunday, October 4, taking runners and walkers through a scenic course of orchards, farmland, and country roads in Perry.

This year’s race celebrates America’s 250th birthday while giving back right here in Wyoming County. Proceeds and support from the event will benefit a local animal shelter, local fire department, and the Wyoming County Coalition for Su***de Prevention & Veterans Services.

The day doesn’t end at the finish line! Stick around at Buried Barrel for c***r, food, music from DJ Ricky Milo, raffle baskets, and a post-race celebration.
