Nationals of the following countries are Mandatorily required to obtain a tourist visa from the Embassy prior to their departure from the United States to Nepal: Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria.

Refugees with travel documents are also not eligible for an on-arrival visa in Nepal, so they should also obtain a visa from the Embassy prior to their departure from the United States to Nepal.
