You thought you could do it yourself. You snagged some really cheap rooms in the tropics during high season. It was almost too good to be true -- in fact, you could barely breathe as you clicked the “purchase” button on the booking website. Too bad you didn’t check first on how much it costs to fly last minute to the Caribbean during festive season; it was $2,500 apiece for a middle seat in coach and there were only four of you going. Such a bargain! So what if your first born has to wait another year to start college.

Tip: It doesnt usually cost you any more money to use a travel agent so why do all the work when you dont have to.
