Every summer, I watch the same thing happen: travelers wait too long, pay too much, and end up at the same overcrowded destinations they were trying to escape.
The travelers who get the best experiences aren't necessarily going to more exotic places, they're just making smarter decisions earlier. The lesson I keep coming back to: the "hidden gem" is rarely about geography. It's about timing, strategy, knowing what questions to ask before you book, and of course, using a travel advisor.
On my list for this summer: less crowded but still fabulous European destinations like Montenegro (pictured), Edinburgh, Munich, and Switzerland (alpine summer iykyk). Even popular destinations like Italy and Greece can shine when choosing unique summer destinations (swap Florence for Rome, or Costa Navarino for Santorini). A travel advisor will not only help you time the trip exactly right, but ensure you're leveraging value, comfort, and experience to get that perfect summer moment.
What destination surprised you the most when you finally visited?
