This is the highlight reel but not going to lie, I had a rough 2025. It was one of the hardest years of my life for many reasons.

For the first four months of the year I was anxious, kept getting bad news, and wasn’t traveling. I didn’t feel like myself and I knew I wouldn’t meet most of my 2025 goals even though I was trying so hard. There are just certain things out of our control. It’s something I’m not used to. I usually see a goal, work toward it, check the box, and head to the next goal.

There was this distinct moment I was sitting in my car listening to this song by .music and started to just cry. The lyrics really helped me in that moment know everything would be fine, stop overthinking, and be true to myself by doing the things I love. I made a conscious decision in that moment to just live my life as I normally would, stop worrying about what would happen, and trust that things would work out.

The rest of the year wasn’t easy, but it was a lot more enjoyable. I went to a lot of events, I traveled a lot, and spent half of the year pregnant which I had been hoping for for so so long. I honestly needed the distractions 😮‍💨🤣😅 I somehow managed to still take 9 trips this year LOL.

Now for 2026 I’m just ready to meet baby girl and yes we already have two trips planned for 2026 with her. I’m so excited!

so while I haven’t posted as much on here, I hope you know I’m still around and if you’re having a rough start to the year, I hope it turns around for you too in some way💕

The holidays are always special around DC but especially this year. We hosted Christmas for my whole family and I got to share some of my favorite places around the DMV to celebrate this season. Not to mention it’s our last Christmas as a family of 2! Next year, we’ll be sharing all these amazing places with baby girl 🥹

Places I love during the holidays:
1. Old Town Alexandria (photos 1-2)
2. Downtown DC: holiday market, great food spots, national portrait gallery (photos 3-5)
3. Union Station (photo 6)
4. National Gallery of Art (photo 7 - try to get tickets to a holiday concert here! Amazing.)
5. My Christmas cookies! I bake them every year for friends/family at home plus cousin dogs hehe 🥰 (photos 8-9)
6. Hillwood Museum and Gardens (10-11)
7. Shakespeare Library - consider visiting for tea time! (Photo 12)
8. Willard Intercontinental Hotel Christmas concerts & great holiday drinks from their lobby bar, plus the decor! (Photo 13-14)
9. Dinner at the Occidental (photo 15)
10. Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker - a DC take on the classic ballet that is beautiful! (Photo 16)

3 year wedding anniversary, 7 years together, and 20 weeks from meeting baby girl. 💕

Something we’ve been dreaming of and talking about for years is finally feeling like a reality. Lucky to have him to take care of me mostly through sickness and exhaustion not health these past 5 months 🤪
