Some cities are beautiful.
Berlin is intriguing.
Cold War scars beside contemporary art. Brutalist concrete catching the evening light. Graffiti-covered walls, underground clubs, Turkish markets, flea markets, cyclists, skaters, artists, commuters and strangers moving through the frame.
Berlin is a city of contradictions, gritty and glamorous, historic and rebellious, raw and refined.
And for a street photographer, that tension is irresistible.
In May 2027, photographers Justin Black and Julia Keil invite just six photographers to join them for an immersive week of street photography in one of Europe’s most visually compelling capitals.
There are now only TWO spaces left.
This isn't a large group tour where you’re handed an itinerary and left to find the photographs yourself.
It’s a deliberately small, highly personal workshop designed around seeing, photographing, learning and responding to the city together.
We’ll photograph from the first light of morning through golden hour and into Berlin after dark, moving through some of the city’s most fascinating neighborhoods:
And then there’s Berlin after dark…
Neon. Reflections. Döner stands. Shadows. Bars. Rain-slick streets. Silhouettes.
The city takes on another personality.
Previous participants have described their workshops as “amazing,” “fabulous,” and an experience where they “learned a great deal” while making lasting friendships along the way.
May 18–26, 2027.
Only TWO spaces remain.
