Total Immersion Experience - TIE

Total Immersion Experience - TIE Total Immersion Experience (TIE) began as a vision of educators and former Peace Corps volunteers who served in China.

Every experience is tailored to a school’s mission and goals, and its students’ ages and knowledge level.

As usual, Peter Hessler wrote it better than I could. As many of you know, Andrew and I, along with our wives, both served as Peace Corps China 16 volunteers from 2010-2012. While it pains us to see this program end, we value deeply the experiences and relationships we made during our service, some of which led directly to the creation of TIE. Politics aside, Peace Corps China was always about building connections and understanding between people, and those goals will continue to remain at the core of Total Immersion Experience.

-Andy Teumer, Education Director, China 16

The agency has always been viewed as removed from political spats. But the timing of the U.S.’s decision seems suspicious.

Photographed is a 农家乐, meaning: “farmer house happy” aka a rural weekend retreat for those who live in the city. Beautiful shot of a lotus field in bloom, taken in the Sichuan Province. Just one of the many amazing things you could see on your trip with Total Immersion Experience!
