Being a creative person by nature, I have always been able to see the beauty in everything around me, even when others couldn't. And, for many years, I dreamed about owning a quaint little boutique where I could create gorgeous displays using old vintage treasures I found and bought on my antiquing excursions. However, I also knew I wanted to get my hands dirty, literally! That's when I started pa

inting my old vintage pieces I had laying around after envisioning them in a fresh new way. Soon enough, friends started asking me to paint their old outdated furniture and they told their friends and so on. Before I realized it, what was once simply a, flight of fancy, had become my reality. I had a thriving furniture restoration and home décor business. I thought it only appropriate to name my business, Flight of Fancy because it was how my dream was born. A few years (and hundreds of furniture pieces) later, I've taken faux finishing classes and honed my skills to set my work apart from the rest. I would love to help you give a fresh and revitalized look to your furniture or you can shop from my inventory. Specifically, we can be commissioned to update furniture pieces in your home through the use of paint, distressing, stenciling, decoupage and more. United just announced its largest expansion ever, and Dulles is getting TWO new nonstop routes:

📍 IAD → Toulouse, France — daily starting April 26, 2027 (the only nonstop from DC to Toulouse — and the only U.S. airline flying there at all!)
📍 IAD → Milan, Italy — 3x weekly starting May 28, 2027 (the only nonstop DC-to-Milan option!)

Bhutan has quietly made its way onto my personal bucket list lately… and the deeper I dive into it, the more intrigued I become. 🇧🇹

Last night I met with a DMC, Ventours, who specializes in curating journeys throughout this part of the world for travel advisors and their clients, and hearing more about Bhutan only added to the fascination. There’s something about the combination of untouched landscapes, deep spirituality, intentional slow living, and luxury that feels incredibly rare in today’s world.

It seems like the kind of destination that changes you a little bit after experiencing it — not just another trip you check off a list.
