Our last port of the Alaska cruise was Ketchikan, and we definitely made the most of it! ❤️
We started around Creek Street and finally got our first bear sighting of the trip! 🐻 He was sitting there in the creek eating a salmon while hundreds of them were making their way upstream. Such a cool thing to see in person!
We walked around Creek Street, including Dolly’s House, one of the original buildings there and a former brothel, and made a few shopping stops before heading out for our kayaking excursion.
The kayaking was probably one of my favorite parts of the day. It was literally just Josh, me and our guide, so it felt like our own private little adventure. We spent about two hours around the Clover Pass area and saw at least 10 sea lions, more salmon, a bald eagle and its HUGE nest. 🦭🦅
And then we learned that bull kelp makes a pretty impressive trumpet… 😂 Of course we had to try it!
What a way to finish our last port. Between the wildlife, scenery and all the little unexpected moments, Alaska definitely did not disappoint.
If Alaska is on your list, I’d love to help you plan your own trip and find the experiences that are the right fit for you. There are so mang gorgeous places to see in Alaska that even photos cannot do justice to the beauty.
