Last fall, my family and I took a road trip to Flat Rock, North Carolina, and it was everything a cozy autumn escape should be — vibrant fall colors, peaceful hikes, and seriously delicious food.

We stayed at The Lodge, and it was perfect for families: a spacious two‑bedroom suite with a king bed, a pullout sofa, and even a little kitchen for easy meals. The kids loved the indoor swimming pool, and every night we ended the day gathered around the firepit, soaking in that crisp mountain air. And the sweetest touch? They greeted us with complimentary snacks at check‑in, which made us feel instantly at home.

More of a good thing is always a great thing. And more Disney magic just might be the best thing of all. That’s exactly what you get at a Disney H2O Glow After Hours Event. You get three hours—after hours—in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on select nights June 2 to September 5, 2026.

This special event is held from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. And you can get a head start on the fun by entering the park at 6:00 PM—a couple of hours before the event officially begins. That’s more time for riding favorite attractions, enjoying incredible experiences and beyond. And more time for making the absolute most out of your Walt Disney World experience.

*Theme Park closing times vary. Admission to this event requires a separately priced ticket valid only during specific event dates and hours. Attractions and offerings subject to change without notice. Available attractions at Disney H2O Glow After Hours subject to change due to inclement weather or other reasons. Hey Everyone! 🎃

Today, Disney announced the dates of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! This is a private special ticketed event that DOES sell out. There are special parades, fireworks, character meet and greets, trick or treating, stage show, special merchandise and food, and slower wait times in the parks.

The dates are:
August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31

If you are not participating, please make note of these dates, as Magic Kingdom will close earlier, and there will not be any firework shows unless you are an event guest. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM before the party kicks off at 7:00 PM. This means guests have up to 8 hours to celebrate all across the park.

Tickets are available to purchase for Disney Resort guests on 5/5, and the general public on 5/12.

While exact pricing is not available just yet, they range from $119-$199+ tax per person depending on the night.
