A new Disney Weather app launched yesterday for more accurate forecasts and updates while you're on Disney properties!

Through a partnership with AccuWeather, this new app includes:

🗺️ Geo-Fenced Experiences within Disney properties, which activates Disney Weather Check features within the AccuWeather App. Guests receive enhanced, location-specific weather intelligence, aligned with Disney employee alerts, warnings, and advisories used to initiate uniform safety protocols.

🕒 Custom Hourly Forecast providing specific hourly forecast for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort including real-time weather to support informed decision making and enhanced guest safety.

🌧️ AccuWeather MinuteCast® provides a hyperlocal forecast of precipitation type and intensity, as well as precise start and end times for rain or snow weather over the upcoming four hours, pinpointed to a person's exact GPS location.

🌡️ AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperature is the only index that considers more than temperatures plus one additional variable. It is based on 14 factors, which is more precise than other sources, including the impact of sunshine intensity, wind speed, humidity, and air density.

☀️ UV Index with the greatest accuracy and detail available from any source; highly localized UV indices and forecasts provide enhanced protection from UV exposure by allowing users to track their UV exposure hour-by-hour, down to the tenths of a unit.

The app is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play. I'll check it out during my next visit and let you know what I think!

I love getting the inside scoop for you guys, but it is far from necessary for me to be on-site in the middle of all the action (and in the middle of all the Disney bloggers + social media influencers) on May 26 when Soarin Across America 🪂 Bluey's Wild World at Conservation Station 🐶 Rock n Roller Coaster featuring The Muppets 🎢 and Animation Courtyard open 🪄

While I was unable to fit the exclusive pre-opening previews into my schedule earlier this month, I know several people who attended. So, I've got all the details! And I'll be there in person soon enough. 😉

I recently checked out the new Royal Caribbean Star of the Seas. And WOW.

Top 3 things I'm obsessed with: infinite balconies, new food options, and chief dog officers.

1️⃣ Infinite balconies push out the square footage of your room to include the balcony space, and then give you a full wall-to-wall floor-to-ceiling window that opens halfway to create the balcony. IT IS STUNNING. 🤩

When the window is closed, it creates a beautiful indoor sunroom, where I wanted to just curl up with a beverage + a good book for hours. When the window is open, you get the same balcony feeling, but with a much nicer floor + furniture surrounding you. If you upgrade to a suite, you can also get a split bathroom! (Toilet in one room, shower in another room.) Convenience, comfort, and luxury!

2️⃣ There are SO MANY new food options on the Icon class of ships. At no additional charge, there's a food hall on the Star of the Seas that offers side-by-side "stalls" for Latin street food, Thai/Asian food, Greek/Mediterranean food, BBQ, and creperie. Plus, I love the El Loco Fresh Mexican food on the top deck by the pool.

For specialty dining, we got to be the first ones in the ultra fancy Lincoln Park Supper Club, inspired by the glitz + glamour of 1930s with live jazz. Definitely an elevated experience!

3️⃣ Meet Sailor, Chief Dog Officer for the Star of the Seas. 🐶 I was so excited to spend time playing with Sailor on the first day! Royal Caribbean explains that Sailor, and her sister Rover on the Icon of the Seas, are "more than just mascots; they're bona fide members of the crew, dedicated to spreading joy and wagging tails wherever they go."

While many of you know me as an expert in pet-friendly travel at Walt Disney World, let's not get ahead of ourselves with the introduction of Royal Caribbean's Chief Dog Officers... This doesn't mean you can bring your own pet onboard. For now, Rover (Icon of the Seas), Sailor (Star of the Seas), and Skipper (who will debut on the new Legend of the Seas) are the only animals allowed onboard.

Today is International Dance Day 💃🏻🕺🏻

I have been to Disney parks more than 50 times, and I'm pretty sure I found myself dancing at some point during each and every visit. There is something about the atmosphere in the 🫧"Disney bubble"🫧 that truly makes you feel so at ease that you can spontaneously dance like nobody's watching. And honestly, if people do see you, many of them will smile and some will even join you - including guests and characters/cast members!
