Coach OB's Tuesday Tip: Get sleepy hands while riding? It could be that your are pinching a nerve that runs down the center of your palm and into your arm. This can cause "sleepy hands". The picture shows your carpal bone in the lower inside portion of each hand as your palm faces you.
This should be the first point of contact on your handlebars. If on your hoods or in your drops, this bone should “absorb” the majority of the pressure in your hands.
If on your hoods, your hand is “draped” over the hoods. Carpel bone just behind the break lever. Two fingers on the brakes, two behind the brakes. For those with good memory, this one one of my first Facebook posts as a coach!
