As of May 21, 2026, all U.S.-bound American citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPRs) who have been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within 21 days of arrival in the United States must only enter through Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) for enhanced screening. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will apply enhanced public health screening at IAD in response to the Ebola outbreak. The Dulles requirement applies to all passengers, including U.S. citizens and LPRs, who were present in those countries. Please be prepared for flight changes or cancellations. 🛂 Passports & Child Support Debt — What You Need to Know Before You Book

Let’s talk about something nobody wants to discuss — but every traveler needs to hear.

If you owe more than $2,500 in child support, federal law prevents a U.S. passport from being issued to you. And if you already have one? It can be revoked.

Here’s what that means for your travel plans:

✈️ No passport = no international travel. Period.
📬 If your passport is revoked, you’ll receive a notice directly from the U.S. Department of State — by email or mail — using the address on your most recent passport application.

📞 To resolve it, you’ll need to contact the state where the child support is owed, get your balance paid or arranged, and then reapply.

I share this not to judge — but because I’ve seen travel dreams derailed at the worst possible moment. The last thing I want is for you to pay for a trip you can’t take.

Before you book, make sure your passport is valid, current, and clear.

That’s how long I was on the phone with MSC Cruises tonight — for ONE client’s reservation.
While most folks were settling in for the night, I was settling the details:

✅ Last-minute modifications to the cruise booking
✅ Making sure the refund was processed correctly
✅ Fighting to get the military discount honored
✅ Confirming the final payment date before the deadline
✅ Working across time zones because cruise lines don’t run on Louisiana hours
