Jamaica just made destination weddings accessible.

One of my favorite top resorts just launched a free sweetheart wedding package.

Free means:

✅the ceremony
✅the reception
✅the marriage license
✅the administrative fees that usually stop couples cold

I’m not here to pressure you into anything. I’m here to tell you when the window’s open and the math changes.

This window closes at the end of the year.

Did you know most destination weddings don't fail because of the location? They fail because nobody planned the systems.

Look, here's what I see: couples fall in love with a beach. They book the resort.

Then six months before the wedding, they discover:

Legal paperwork needed documenting they filed months ago
Vendors they wanted are already booked

Nobody explained which decisions actually matter and which are just noise.

The good news? This is all manageable. You just need someone who understands the structure before you start.

Have you thought about a destination wedding and talked yourself out of it? What stopped you?

Out of office.

I’m taking the vacation I promised myself…..just not the one I wanted. Oral surgery beats the beach this week, and recovery is looking a lot like smoothies and Netflix.

New Planning Session inquiries will wait until I’m back and ready to give your trip the attention it deserves. If you’re already in the planning process with me, I have already reached out via email.

On this Wellness Wednesday, rest well while I do the same.

Every place has a comeback story. Jamaica's just happens to be written in reggae, salt air, and the kind of hospitality that doesn't need a script.

If you've ever thought "someday we'll do the Caribbean right," someday might be closer than you think.

What's your Caribbean story — the one you promised yourself?

My daughter moved into her dorm at Morgan State University this week. My mom and I took the train to DC together. Yesterday we experienced something I’ll carry for the rest of my life.

We stood at the monument and saw my name and family members. For my mom, it was her first time in DC. So we visited the malls and enjoyed a meal from a food truck. We laughed a lot and enjoyed our time.

What moved me most during this visit was hearing all the stories in line. Families in line honoring their parents. Children seeing their parents' names. Parents standing before the names of those they lost. The weight of it. The honor of it.

Seeing my name and my children’s father's name brought back memories and gratitude.
Witnessing my mom see family members' names on the wall was the best part of her D.C. experience.

USAA recognized our service today, and that mattered. But what mattered more was understanding, once again, why I do what I do.

I don’t book trips; I create space for reconnection.

For standing beside the people we love at places that matter. For crossing thresholds together. For understanding our own stories and the legacies we carry.

Reconnect. Relax. Revel in Adventure. ✈️💜

Here's what 26 years in IT taught me about relaxation: you can't optimize what you don't measure.

Most people treat rest like a guilty pleasure—something you squeeze in if you have time. Wrong framework.

Your body doesn't work that way.

Your mind doesn't work that way.

Relaxation isn't a bonus feature.

It's system maintenance.

You know how a computer crashes if you never shut it down?

How a car needs an oil change even if it's running fine?

Same principle.

Your nervous system requires actual downtime to process, restore, and function at peak capacity.

Not meditation apps.

Not a 10-minute breathing exercise between meetings.

Actual rest. Real time. Permission to be fully offline.

National Relaxation Day isn't a holiday. It's a system check.

So here's your audit:

When's the last time you truly stopped? Not paused. Stopped.

When did you last take a full day—or even a full weekend—where work didn't follow you?

If you can't remember, you've got a problem.

And unlike a computer, there's no automatic reboot.

The fix is simple: you have to schedule it like you schedule everything else that matters.

Put relaxation in the calendar. Non-negotiable. That's not selfish. That's maintenance.

What does your maintenance schedule look like?

There's relaxation. Then there's Zanzibar.

I'm talking about waking up to Indian Ocean views that don't ask anything of you.

Days where your only decision is: beach or pool?
Spice market walk or hammock?
Fresh seafood on the sand or dinner overlooking the water?

Zanzibar isn't just a destination. It's a permission slip.
The Swahili coast, white-sand beaches, the weight of absolutely nothing on your shoulders.

No meetings.
No emails that matter.
No to-do list hunting you down.

Just island time, ocean air, and the kind of peace that reminds you what it actually feels like to breathe.

National Relaxation Day isn't just about taking today off.

It's about remembering that you can step away.

That the world keeps turning.

That you deserve to be somewhere that serves your soul, not your productivity.

Zanzibar does that.

So does a beach chair at home. So does a book and real coffee. The question isn't where to rest. It's whether you'll give yourself permission.

Rest isn't a luxury. It's maintenance. We live in a world that rewards the hustle, the grind, the "no days off" mindset. ...

Rest isn't a luxury. It's maintenance.

We live in a world that rewards the hustle, the grind, the "no days off" mindset.

But here's what nobody tells you: your nervous system doesn't care about your to-do list.

Your body needs actual downtime to function.
Your mind needs space to breathe.
Your soul needs permission to just be.

National Relaxation Day isn't about productivity hacks or quick fixes. It's about reclaiming what we've all sacrificed in the name of getting ahead: time. Unscheduled. Unstructured. Guilt-free time.

So today its actually, starting right now.....what are you claiming for yourself?

A book you've been meaning to read?
A beach day with nothing planned?
Golf, friends, your favorite show, a walk where your phone stays in your pocket?

Whatever it is, it counts.

Real talk: I built Flo Knowles Travel because travel does this. It forces rest. It stops the noise. It reminds you who you are when the rest of the world isn't demanding anything. But whether you travel or not...... relaxation is not selfish. It's necessary.

What are you doing for yourself today?

Netflix and Chill? Not this weekend.

This weekend, we're Morgan State Bound. Move-in day for my daughter is happening, and I am ready. We've packed the car, mapped the route, and traded streaming for the real adventure....the kind where you show up for someone you love while they step into their own.

As a veteran and a solo business owner, I've learned that the best moments aren't passive. They're built. Designed. Shown up for. And this one—watching my kid walk into Morgan State—this is the milestone that matters.

Tonight, the Netflix can wait. The open road and proud-parent tears are the only show I need.

I'll be OOO August 17-21 — full mom mode. Back in the office August 24th, ready to plan.

See you on the other side of move-in day.

MYTH #3: "Cruises are just floating parties. They're chaotic and stressful."

TRUTH: Only if you design it that way.

A cruise is a FLOATING HOTEL that moves at night. No packing and repacking.
No rental cars. No restaurant reservations. Everything you need is ON BOARD.

Want quiet? Take a spa day. Want all-nighters? Hit the clubs. Want family time?
Stake out the pool and disconnect.

The ONLY stress I see? People who didn't set expectations beforehand.

That's where I come in. Discovery Call, I ask: "Slow all the way down or adventure built in?"
Once I know your vibe, I design the cruise around YOU—not the brochure.

My clients? They come back. Again and again.

Because a cruise isn't stressful when it's designed with intention.
