Music Therapy is the specialized use of music by a credentialed professional in order to achieve measurable non-musical outcomes in communication, cognition and learning, psychosocial adjustments, motor, and sensory processing. A Board Certified Music Therapist uses music interventions such as singing, movement, instrument playing, listening, improvising, and song writing to help children reach th

eir individual goals. Music To Grow On was established in 2000 to provide Music Therapy services to children with special needs. It is now expanding to offer more services including Mommy and Me groups, mixed ability groups, individual sessions, and music lessons.

We partner with more than 20 school districts, providing services to over 100 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Additionally, we offer direct services to over 100 individuals and facilitate more than 65 groups across educational, mental health, and long-term care facilities. Due to increasing demand and a substantial waiting list, we are seeking to hire multiple Board-Certified Music Therapists to join our expanding team.

Music To Grow On is partnering with Access Leisure to offer summer music therapy camps for elementary school age children with intellectual disabilities. Please spread the word. Each week has 36 slots total. We would love to fill these two weeks. Please spread the word. Scan the QR code to get more information. There will be music and movement, instrument making, and instrument exploration every day. This will be a half day program. It will be at East Portal Park in Sacramento.
