Join The Cottom Agency and Indigo Birding Nature Tours for an amazing 11-day adventure to the mecca of tropical birding! Specifically designed for the Wabash Valley Audubon Society, this "birding trip of a lifetime" runs from **February 21 – March 3, 2027**. All are invited to participate!

We will visit a variety of habitats and elevations as we search for spectacular species. From the lush Pacific coast to the high-elevation Talamanca Mountains, you’ll be immersed in the incredible wildlife that gives Costa Rica its international fame.

Search for the elusive **Resplendent Quetzal**, considered by many to be the most beautiful bird in the Americas.

* Central Pacific Wonders:* Take an early morning boat tour on the Tarcoles River to see Scarlet Macaws, Roseate Spoonbills, and three species of Kingfishers.

* Deep Jungle Exploration: Spend three nights at the Danta Corcovado Lodge on the Osa Peninsula, a region home to several endemic species like the Black-cheeked Ant-tanager.

* Highland Birding:Stay at the iconic Hotel Savegre, located within a 500-hectare nature preserve, where the gardens are alive with high-elevation specialties.
