🚨 STRIPED BASS FISHERMEN — WE NEED YOUR HELP. 🚨

I’m asking you to take 5 minutes to submit a public comment about the exploding brown shark population and its impact on our striped bass fishery.

I’m on the water virtually every day, and I have never seen anything like this.

Every single area we fish for striped bass is holding multiple sharks. They’re circling the boat, attacking our live baits, and taking striped bass before we can land them.

📓 My logbook shows hundreds of shark encounters this season.

📡 I’m covering nearly 40 miles of water using high-resolution side imaging to find striped bass—and the sharks are everywhere.

This is no longer an occasional nuisance. It is seriously impacting the striped bass fishery and threatening the livelihoods of charter captains and anglers all over the coast.

I believe we are approaching a critical point. If this continues, I’m seriously concerned we may not have a viable summer striped bass fishery next year.

We need fisheries managers to consider a regulated shark season and take action now.

🎣 THE FALL RUN IS HERE! 🎣

The best fishing of the year is ahead of us — the fall run!

With the first east winds and cooler temperatures on the way, I expect things to really kick into gear. September and October will be some of the best fishing of the entire season.

Striped bass, albies, and bonito will be feeding hard on the surface, making for some of the most exciting fishing of the year. 🔥
