Throwback Thursday! This time of year, many people are thinking about their Summer travel plans. I wanted to share my favorite Summer trip I've ever taken: an Alaskan cruise! I don't have the words to do it justice. It's just one of the most beautiful places on Earth. 🗻🏞️🦅🌳🦭 Alaskan cruises do tend to be more expensive than your typical 3-5 day jaunt to the Bahamas, but it is absolutely worth it! This particular trip (Summer 2022) actually made me decide that I'll be a reverse snowbird after I retire--instead of moving to Florida for the Winter, I'll move to Alaska for the Summer! 😂

Throwback Thursday! And this time we're throwing it WAY back to 2009, the first time I left the US. I was actually studying abroad in Denmark that Summer, but some of us took a quick little weekend trip to Dublin Ireland, where we spent most of the time winging it without an itinerary. We actually came across Malahide Castle accidentally, but just had to go in and get a tour!

Everyone has their own travel style, and I'm definitely a person who appreciates having an itinerary, or at least a basic plan. But taking a break to "wing it" every once in a while can sometimes end up being your favorite part of a trip!

Throwback Thursday!! (That's still a thing, right? 😂)

This is a view of the Northern Lights from a boat off of Reykjavik, Iceland. Iceland was the first stop on our honeymoon in March 2023 and is the place I most want to go for a return visit. You may have already guessed it, but this is also one of the inspirations for the Vibrant Skies name!

Fun fact! 54% of Icelanders believe in elves. Maybe they used some magic on me and that's why I want to go back so much. ✨

Hi everyone! I'm Ashley and I've recently become a Certified Travel Advisor under my host agency Fora!

A little about me: I live in Westfield, IN with my 3 kids, husband, dog, and 3 cats. My "day job" is in Human Resources, but my passion is travel. I've actually wanted to be a travel agent since I was in high school, but my younger self listened to the people saying it's not a real job and nobody uses them anymore. Now I know better!

Why utilize my services? Well as a start, I've shared my Core Values in this post. As time goes on, I'll continue to share examples of how travel advisors in general can enhance your travel experience, but also how I bring my own personal flavor to travel advising.
