Fun time racing and crewing this week on Mambo No. 9 at the Catalina 22 Nationals in Pensacola Bay. FL We came in 9th out of 26 boats—our skipper was pleased to be in top 10.

Having fun in Pensacola this week in Catalina 22 2026 national championship. Unfortunately race day 1 was canceled due to rainy weather. We got in a practice race yesterday on “Mambo No 9” sailboat.

Saturday, May 23 - upon arrival at the Pensacola Yacht Club, Catalina 22 skippers and crew will complete the registration process, sails are measured, boats are inspected to ensure compliance with Class Rules, concluding with social time and a Tactics seminar.

Sunday, May 24 - the registration, sail measurement and inspection process continues. A practice race is held at approximately 2:00 PM. Upon returning to the docks, PRO Hal Smith will lead the competitor's meeting, followed by a Rules seminar. The annual General Membership meeting, and dinner, begins at 6:00 PM.

Racing is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 25.
