Submitted by member Stella. Sunday, September 15th was the annual Tom Kat ride. This is the one official Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club ride where men are allowed to ride with us. It's a fun ride for those Kitties who have male motorcyclists in their lives. This is the ride they are able to join in and experience our all female motorcycle riding club. A special thanks to Tom Moore who was my Tom Kat, it was a true pleasure.

Things started off bright and early (8:30am) at the QuikTrip meetup at 127th St E. and 21st St N. in Wichita, Kansas.
The group was large enough that we broke into three smaller groups and departed at 9am for Council Grove to have lunch at Hays House. We had the upper tavern room reserved for all of us. It was purrrfect. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. The servers were fast, efficient and so very friendly. A+

It's hard to believe that our official riding season is almost done. We have one ride left in October and then it will be quiet again (as far as rides are concerned) until the Bike Blessing kicks off our season in 2025.

If you are a female rider and want to find other women to ride with, we might be the purrrrfect place for you. The 2025 riding season will be here sooner than you think. Give it some serious thought and read through the membership application on our website. It took me 16 years to get the courage to apply, I heard about them the year they formed in 2004 and I had been riding my own since 1998. I missed out on so many years of riding to awesome places with incredible women. Don't be a fraidy-cat like I was, reach out to see about riding as a guest if you aren't ready to join. It could change your life.

Hi friends! The Krome Kitty Motorcycle Club has chosen AA Place for Dogs as our focal charity this year. If you don't know about this non-profit organization, you really should!
Here's their mission statement:
Often, a significant barrier for addicts entering rehab is the cost and perceived unavailability of quality care for their four-legged companions. 'AA' Place for Dogs will assist addicts by easing the burden and fear of entering rehab and leaving their valued four-legged family members. We offer support for the care of that animal while the owner is in rehab.
How awesome is that?!? Please consider a donation, or come to this event! All ticket sales and donations go directly to them.
Helping people, helping pets, it's all so good.

It was a cold, windy day for the last official ride of the 2023 season on Saturday, October 14th. It's better to go in cars, than not at all, so that's what we did! Two tuff Kitties braved the elements and biked up in every bit of leather they had and rode. Good on you Stella and Beth!

We had lunch at The Barn in Burron, KS and tried to keep the Kitty chaos to a minimum. We were mostly successful!

The Krome Kitties had their annual Tom Kat Ride today. This is the one time a year we invite our spouses and family to join us on a ride. It's always a popular event and we get a large turnout. Today was no exception! Forty-one people biked up and rode to Sedan, KS and ate at Buck's BBQ. The desert-like temperatures broke just in time to make this a beautiful ride in the Kansas countryside!

The plan: Go to the Sedgwick County Zoo for a Twilight Tuesday concert. The reality: It was 103°. No one wants to sit in the scorching hot sun for three hours! Plan B: Enjoy the glorious air conditioning at the Pumphouse. So, that's exactly what we did for the July 18th Krome Kitty Meow Mixer!

Take the backroads! That's exactly what we did on the Krome Kitty ride to the Czech Capital of Kansas, otherwise known as Wilson, KS on July 16th. We had some pretty darn good fried chicken at Made from Scratch. Bonus! We were able to "Czech" off a Kansas landmark. It was egg-celent!

For the Krome Kitty ride on June 10th, we switched it up a bit and made it a dinner ride instead of a lunch ride. We started by riding to Council Grove, KS and ended in Newton, KS, where we ate at one of our favorite restaurants - Genova's Italian Restaurant. The Kitties love us some pasta....and Mexican food....really, all food!

The Krome Kitties were tutu cute on our annual Tutu Ride on May 21st! We rode to Coldwater, KS and had lunch at Dave's Pizza Oven. Despite what you may have heard, you're never too old to wear a tutu!

How do you celebrate International Female Ride Day? You ride, of course! The Krome Kitties motorscooted to El Dorado to eat lunch at the True Lies Ranch Hand Cafe and Steakhouse. It was an absolutely beautiful day to ride and I couldn't ask for a better group of ladies to ride with!

The Krome Kitties were all set to ride to Durham, KS today, but Mother Nature said, "Not today ladies!" The cold and windy weather caused us to pivot and go in cars instead, but the awesome part is 23 Kitties would rather go in a car than not go at all. That's how much we treasure our time together!
