Save Time Trouble & Money When visiting Venice🚶🚶‍♀️😊

1. Pack light because Venice has no cars once you get to the main island. Venice has hundreds of foot bridges and lugging heavy suitcases is not fun.
2. If you don’t want to lug your suitcases up and down the bridges you might want to find hotels closest to the Grand Canal.
3. Cheapest way to get from airport to “Venice Islands” is by bus, otherwise you’re gonna have to take a water taxi. Just buy a ticket at the airport once you get there that go to “Piazzale Roma”, the buses are in front of the AP.
4. At the Piazzale Roma you can either walk, take a water taxi if your hotel is far from there or take the “water bus” called Vaporetto, which is their version of public transportation around the islands. It’s inexpensive, easy to navigate, you can buy tickets at any of their stops and free on Sundays. You can also take the train from the airport to Piazzale Roma.
5. I say it again, pack light! Wear comfortable shoes because you’re going to do lots of walking.

According to Difford’s Guide, the French 75 was named after the French army’s weapon of choice during World War I: the French 75-millimeter. It was one of the deadliest in the market – a solider could fire 15 rounds of ammo per minute – so word of the gun spread equally as fast as the news of the war. Subsequently, a French bartender decided to create a WWI-inspired cocktail which he named “Soixante-Quinze,” or “Seventy-Five.” The drink immediately gained popularity, and people referred to it as “the mostpowerful drink in the world” in alignment to its namesake.
